Outschool (YC W16) | Remote | Full-time | Software Engineers and Infrastructure Engineers https://jobs.lever.co/outschool/ca399e53-20c8-49c8-be05-16d9...

Our business is growing explosively: 900,000+ learners have taken more than over 7M class hours. We've more than quadrupled our team since the beginning of 2020 from 25 to 118 to keep up with growth. We’ve raised $130M since founding with most of that still in the bank. We’ve also been named Fast Company’s most innovative edtech company in the world and in the top ten best startups for women from Elpha. Plus we're making $1M of live online classes available for free to families in need and adding thousands of new teachers in weeks.

We are an effective team of fully remote engineers distributed across the US and Canada. Our philosophy is to start small and then intentionally iterate so we can test our assumptions and learn quickly. We're iteratively building up a complex product for a highly engaged audience, getting a lot done by staying focused on the work that matters.

We believe that the future of education is hybrid - online and in person. We are looking for engineers at a variety of experience levels who are excited about inspiring children to learn by building tools that allow children to access a fundamentally different learning experience. If you have over 2 years of experience we encourage you to apply. We value hands-on experience most of all.

Stack: modern JavaScript (TypeScript), React, GraphQL/Apollo, and Node/Express backed by PostgreSQL

Alloy | Full-Stack Software Engineer Berlin, Germany / Vancouver, BC, 65 - 120k EUR / 85 - 165k CAD | https://alloy.ai

At Alloy, we work with consumer goods companies that make the products we eat, wear, and use every day, as well as the ones we occasionally splurge on. We’re tackling a real and complex problem for brands: managing supply and demand in the face of constantly changing customer behavior. Our goal is to make products available where and when they are most needed.

Engineers at Alloy are tasked with solving the complex problems that supply chain data presents, while making it all seem simple and easy to the user. Whether you enjoy building data pipelines that process billions of data points per day, digging into the math of replenishment models, or creating an intuitive frontend experience, there is no shortage of challenging things to work on. We're looking to hire frontend, backend and full-stack engineers into our Vancouver and Berlin teams.

Our stack: Google Cloud Platform, Postgres, Python, modern Java, TypeScript, and React. We invest heavily in the growth and development of the team - you don't need to know these technologies upfront to succeed at Alloy.

We've raised over $15 million from leading investors, have rapidly growing revenue, and have secured large contracts from some of the world’s most recognisable brands like Ferrero, Melissa & Doug and Valvoline. If the problem sounds interesting, we’d love to tell you more.
