The Center is a startup nonprofit healthcare innovation lab with a significant initial endowment ($200M). We believe the biggest lever for reducing cost and improving quality of care is through changing the behavior of healthcare professionals. Our first focus area is on primary care, and we have built out an initial software-enabled service to help practice managers introduce evidence-based workflow changes, see the impact these changes have on metrics that matter to the practice, and sustain these changes over time (think of it almost like teaching the agile process to healthcare professionals).

Currently that means a backend / devops person (misc rails/etc development and/or devops, we can use both), a UX oriented mobile dev with both iOS and Android experience, and a front end engineer with React or other similar experience. For all roles, we prioritize skills over specific framework knowledge. For example, this means we understand a competent developer who is familiar with django or other MVC frameworks can become an effective rails developer in a short period of time.
