Charge Robotics | Robotics Software Engineer | Full-time | Onsite | SF Bay Area

Hi HN! We’re a brand new startup building robots that build large-scale solar farms. It turns out that construction companies literally can't build solar fast enough, so what we're doing is a crucial part of switching the grid over to renewable generation. We're funded and are looking to bring one more talented software engineer onto our small team.

You’ll be a key contributor, helping bring our first prototype to life: an autonomous, 25,000 pound outdoor mobile robot. You’ll have the opportunity to work on every part of our robotics stack including localization, planning, perception, control, simulation, and more. You'll have a lot of input on which problems you decide to tackle.

Our founding team has experience growing companies and building robots like this. One of our founders was the second employee at a robotics startup that recently announced a $1.1B public offering.

Come work with us if you love:

* Fast-paced prototype development with software and hardware components

* Making a positive climate impact through your work

* Hacking on massive construction equipment!

Terminal49 (https://www.terminal49.com) | Full-time/Contract | Remote

* Want to help automate global trade? *

Terminal49 us all-in-one ocean shipment and container tracking platform. Shippers, Importers, service providers and other logistics technologies co's use our data dashboard and APIs to track and manage ocean containers around the world. We take a bill of lading/container number and build a pretty picture of shipping containers journey.

>> How does it work: We pull data from every ocean carrier (Remember Ever Given?) and US/Canada port/terminal, then standardize it and push container milestones and other events to our customers (webhooks etc). We track containers for our customers so they don't have to. 9/10 people still manually track container by visiting carrier websites and logging into terminal websites (paste container numbers, click track and then copy status back into a spreadsheet -- not joking).

>> Our Progress: Went from 0 to $1.5MARR over last 14 months and growing at 20+% MOM. Container tracking is just the beginning. We are going to go deep into drayage/ocean visibility and build everything from predictive APIS and APIs to programmatically take actions (pay fees, appointment booking, book drayage etc) on a container.

>> Why join us? We are a team of 5, fully distributed and profitable. We are about to raise our Series A, so it's the perfect time to join an have impact on our roadmap and company culture.

Roles ------

* Software Engineer (Data Pipelines) [Ruby, Postgres, Redis, BigQuery, JS, Python, DBT, Datadog monitoring)

* Integration Software Engineer (APIs and bot automation) [You must be good at scraping]

* Full Stack software engineer (Client Application - 70% front end / 30% APIS) [Ember.js App and Rails APIs)

* PM/Designer/Account Exec/other open roles

If interested, email me akshay@terminal49.com or DM me on twitter @dodeja

Keywords: software infra for logistics, container tracking, predictive ETAs
