Novata is a for-profit, mission-driven company with a goal of empowering the private markets to build a more inclusive and sustainable form of capitalism. By bringing together the brightest minds in financial data, private equity, social justice and inclusive capitalism, we aim to build the best technology and tools for the private markets to better collect, analyze, benchmark, and report ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) data.

We’re a team of around 30 engineers and digital specialists of mixed disciplines and experience distributed across the UK and US. We’re a young startup hence you’ll have a chance to get involved early in our product’s development, having the opportunity to shape and steer our platform’s technical direction as well as contribute code across the entire stack.

We use and teach TypeScript/JavaScript, React, NextJS, Node.js, Postgres, Docker and AWS.

NWEA is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving educational systems using assessments and evaluation. We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to help us develop technology and products that make assessments easier, more useful, and more scaleable. In particular, we are looking for someone with generative modeling experience and interest, ideally related to natural language processing and generation. Interest in probabilistic modeling (Stan/Jags/PyMC) is a plus, but not required.
