About us: Since our team consults for other companies, we work on a variety of different cloud-based projects in all types of industries. We’re remote and based in Philly so after covid, you would have the option to work in our Philly coworking space, if you wanted. One of the projects that we’re currently working on is for the DoD, so we're looking for a US citizen.

About the role: In this role you would play with AWS beta features, grow into an AWS/DevOps expert, and help clients build out the infrastructure of their dreams.

Skills that would come in handy:

Overgrad is on a mission to give K-12 school districts across the United States super powers as they work to improve the access their students have to postsecondary pathways. We do this by building tools and trainings that help districts learn from and leverage their student data with an aim on increasing the likelihood of success after high school.

Overgrad is making its first few engineering hires to help shape the future of our product and engineering team. We have a well developed Rails 4 app and want people to help us lean into a new architecture with React & GraphQL. As part of a small team, you'll have an input on all parts of the codebase and features that we build. You’ll work alongside our CTO to plan, prioritize, and develop new features and design a new architecture. Your contributions will be instrumental to the success of Overgrad and will impact hundreds of thousands of students across the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Very proficient with Ruby on Rails and React

- Can design and build GraphQL APIs

- Experiencewith or desire to learn Elasticsearch

- Can break down complex domain logic into undertstandable models

Our Platform team is looking for a senior/mid-level platform software engineer with a strong understanding of Linux networking, storage technologies, and deploying Kubernetes in production environments. As a Platform Engineer, you would be responsible for delivering a scalable, distributed orchestration platform and using Go to develop applications for the platform end-users.

Our Infrastructure team is looking for a senior/mid-level infrastructure engineer with a strong understanding of using Docker containers in release management and configuration management workflows on GCP. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you would ensure best practices and procedures while improving CI pipelines and ensuring stability and security of our systems.
