Smartsheet is looking for additional mobile engineers to join the team developing our native apps for iOS and Android. We work in Swift, Objective-C, Java and Kotlin, including some KMM to consolidate business logic between the two apps.

Our team is largely located on the West Coast, but everyone is fully remote, and there are people working across the US.

I joined about 9 months ago as an SE II - iOS, and our team is continuing to grow. We are currently hiring for both platforms at either the Software Engineer II or Senior level. We will consider people who are changing directions and may not have professional mobile dev experience.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) @ Naval Medical Center San Diego | Data Scientist/Software Engineer | San Diego | ONSITE with telework, US Citizen | Full-time We are teaching machines to diagnose cancer in a collaborative research and development environment. You will be a direct report to the program director, developing a broad codebase (NLP, CV, digital archaeology, bioinformatics anticipated, Python required, C++ and Javascript desirable) and working with a world-class digital slide repository. Typical candidates that make it past the first interview have a CS, data science, comp bio, or a related masters, or a bachelors degree with experience. Linear algebra is a prerequisite. At least 3-4 years writing code is strongly recommended.

Collaborators include the Defense Innovation Unit, the Chief Digital and AI Office, and commercial partners. Project has both remote and San Diego employees.

Culturally, you will be expected to reduce highly ambiguous problems for yourself and others, including asking for help, often in domains you haven’t dealt with before, e.g. clinical trials, legally binding privacy requirements, and highly invasive security and compliance. Finally, this is a small group interfacing with huge organizations. Long term, global, strategic thinking, excellent teamwork, and exemplary personal conduct are essential. Must be able to pass a national agency background check (SF-86).

On-site locations are teaching hospitals. You will walk with the patients you’re trying to help: active duty military, veterans, and their families.
