#73Amperity is a unicorn company building a comprehensive, data foundational CDP. We're hiring engineers across all levels.
Interesting problems:
- Ingesting and cleaning large amounts of data daily and blending it with real-time events
- Automatically stitching data together across disparate systems by training machine-learning models to build a probabilistic identity graph
- Using algorithms to generate new insights based on behaviors (e.g. predicting customer lifetime value)
- Taking research algorithms and productionizing them for high-scale usage
- Allowing users to perform complex, real-time queries across an aggregated view of their data
- Publishing query result data to a diverse set of systems for client usage
We're using Clojure/ClojureScript and all the modern big data tech goodies you'd expect of a 5-year-old company. More at https://eng.amperity.com/
Apply at https://amperity.com/careers/ or reach out to me directly with questions. My email prefix matches my HN handle.

#74We're a startup based in NYC working on a Web3 Discord alternative. Comm is crypto-native messaging based on federated keyservers.
Our long-term goal is to build an alternative to the centralized application server model that dominates Web2. Sophisticated apps (like Discord) need a backend, but today those backends are controlled by corporations. Our solution is to replace the cloud with a network of personal, private application servers (we call them “keyservers”).
I starting working on Comm earlier this year. I’m a programmer by trade and previously worked at FB for 5 years. We currently have 9 devs actively contributing to our codebase, including three here in NYC.
We raised a small pre-seed round in February from some big names and are looking to raise our seed in the next 4 months.
Job descriptions available here: https://commapp.notion.site/We-re-hiring-b0a4cef3f8b34b8c91e...
If this sounds interesting please reach out to ashoat@comm.app!

#76We’re not working on your typical SaaS app, this product has quite a number of twists and turns. We’re constantly pushing on DX, which sometimes calls for some tricky work. Auth is particularly challenging because of how core it is to someones application. Auth0 and co are stodgy, and hard to use - hence most people use open source still. Huge market when we crack it.
To apply shoot me an email at braden@clerk.dev

#80We're working to end the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle [0] that more than half of Americans live in. To tackle this problem, we’ve created an affordable, on-demand pay platform that allows employees early access to their paychecks, while also building financial resilience.
We're looking to significantly grow our engineering team and have both exciting technical challenges and meaningful opportunities for business & product impact.
More specifically, we're hiring for the following positions:
- Data Engineer: https://grnh.se/a45989324us
- Software Engineer, Product: https://grnh.se/069ca6974us
- Senior+ Software Engineer, Product: https://grnh.se/ee6533d74us
- Senior+ Software Engineer, Systems: https://grnh.se/dea63b064us
Tools We Use: You absolutely do not need experience with all of these, but we thought you might be curious. Tools can be learned, so we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language/tool/technology.
- Server: Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS (S3, SQS, etc.)
- Client: React Native (JavaScript, iOS, Android), GraphQL, Relay
- Infra: Bazel, Docker, Redshift
If you're interested, please apply in directly to the links above. We're also hiring in a number of other departments, which you can find here: https://www.even.com/about/careers
