Radix Labs (YC S18) | Software Engineers & Sales, Marketing, Content, and PR BD | Cambridge, MA, USA (Boston area) | Full Time and Co-Op/INTERNS | REMOTE & VISA okay

We’re hiring for just about everything right now. Most of our code is in Scala w/ Akka & Cats and we run on the HashiCorp (Nomad, Consul, Vault, & Terraform) stack. We don’t expect you to know Scala already, but past functional programming experience is helpful. Our front-end is in Typescript + React. We’re hiring for compilers & VM, automation and robotics, front-end, customer facing, hardware reverse engineering, and scheduling engineering focus areas. We’re very collaborative. Wearing many hats is accepted and encouraged. On the front-end, we’re going to start work on our visual programming language soon, so if that sounds interesting to you, please reach out!

For BD, we’re hiring people for outbound sales, marketing, content, and PR (emphasis on earned media). We strongly prefer BD candidates who are biology literate or comfortable.

Biology has talented PhD Biologists spend 5 hours a day on hard to reproduce, unoptimized minutia that isn’t innovative. Radix Labs hopes to accelerate biotech innovation like early compilers did for computing by enabling lab protocols to seamlessly operate and be optimized across physical labs. Come join our world-class diverse, inclusive, and caring team! You won't be the only woman, trans person, POC, latino/a/x, non-US citizen, wearer of silly hats, or cat! We offer equity, unlimited PTO, medical, dental, and vision insurance, mechanical keyboard budget, and flexible work hours.

Job postings should be live on our website in the next few days (once I finish writing them), but if you’re interested, have questions, or want to take writing a JD off my to-do list, reach out and I can send you something or we can talk (halie at radix.bio).

IRAM | Realtime C++ Software Engineer | Grenoble, France | ONSITE | VISA | Full Time | 36 - 60 KEUR/year | https://iram.fr

IRAM is an international research organization for millimeter radio astronomy funded by the French, German and Spanish Governments. IRAM operates two world-class research facilities, a 30-meter single-dish telescope (Spain) and the mm/submm interferometer NOEMA (France), one of the most advanced facilities existing today for radio astronomy.

We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to work in our headquarter on the Campus of the University of Grenoble, France (indefinite contract, after a probation period of 6 months). Reporting to the Head of the Backend Group (my colleague that does not have a HN account yet). Basically you have to translate in C++ the mathematical operations that are described in the book "Interferometry and Synthesis in Radio Astronomy" (CC-BY-NC-4.0) https://library.oapen.org/handle/20.500.12657/28044 It may look pretty difficult but not impossible if you have a solid scientific education because the other engineers will explain to you how it works.

We are a nice company with a very low turn-over: staff like to work for IRAM. Obviously French speaking is an asset, but only English speaking is really mandatory.

For more info, feel free to contact the staff department at rh@iram.fr which will transfer the message to us (mention that you saw this on HN). To apply, please head over to https://www.iram-institute.org/EN/job-offer.php?id=77

nilenso | Senior Engineer | India, Canada | REMOTE | https://nilenso.com

We are a 9 year old boutique technology consulting firm. We care about the impact that we make in the world. As an employee-owned cooperative, we all are stakeholders in how nilenso is run and can prioritise employee happiness: we don’t need to justify how happy employees impact the bottom line. We’re currently a fully remote team of friendly people across India with one member in Canada, and are hiring folks based in either of these geographies.

We have designed, built, and delivered complex, distributed, scalable backend systems for the web that have stood the test of time. We have written production code in Clojure/ClojureScript, Haskell, Elixir, Ruby/Rails, Python, Go, and Javascript, and are partial to a functional approach to programming. You can read about some of our projects[1], their technical details[2], and check out the talks[3] we’ve given to know more.

We’re looking for senior engineers to work with us. View our full job description at https://nilenso.com/senior-developer.html, or email us at careers@nilenso.com to apply!
