IMC Financial Markets | Senior Software Engineer, Developer Productivity ; Linux SRE | Chicago, Amsterdam | ONSITE | Full-time | http://www.imc.com

DevProd: We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our small Developer Productivity team to work on improving developer experience with a particular focus on build speed, verification tooling, and codebase improvements using the Bazel build system in our Java/C++/etc codebase. Primary languages: Starlark (Bazel's subset of Python), shell scripting, C++, Java. Our technology organization is growing steadily, which means maintaining the simplicity and speed of our software builds is more valuable than ever and regularly presents new and interesting challenges.

Linux SRE: Almost everything we do is on-prem bare-metal as opposed to cloud, and we're hiring SREs with deep Linux systems experience to provision, operate, and improve our global server fleet. Both growing scale and low-latency requirements regularly present new problems to solve. The team is small and often works closely with colleagues across the org in a collaborative environment. Python and Puppet experience a plus. While there are occasional issues requiring off-hours attention, there is no on-call rotation.

To get started, email me at the address listed in my profile with "HN APRIL" in the subject.

(Even though this lists ONSITE, we've been operating fully remote during COVID)

======

IMC is among the world’s leading technology-driven trading firms, and a market maker in securities listed on exchanges across the globe. High-performance algorithms, smart strategies, and collaborative teams are the core of our business.

Middle/Perkville | 2 Senior Software Engineer Roles | USA | Full-Time | REMOTE Middle started as an in-house integration platform: an in-browser Python editor to make connectors, and an in-browser visual scripting language to do the connecting. It's been a huge success, allowing us to say "yes" to customer requests way quicker than before. Now, we're making Middle available as its own product. Middle is in private be…

I just want to say: this looks super interesting as a project. Following :)

Sweet! :) I think it has a lot of potential for sure. There are things we needed that none of the other "low code" platforms had, and it's been a lot of fun to build so far. And it's been great seeing people use it!
