I would love to join, as a kid I felt working at the post office would be great. But the DC requirement is a hard sell.

#612I'm looking for someone to join my small but wily team of engineers and help me build a new, open source (https://github.com/Flowminder/flowkit-ui and https://github.com/Flowminder/flowkit-ui-backend), data platform for the humanitarian and development sector. (There's lots of other interesting and impactful things to get your teeth into as well, but the role is primarily for this project to start with).
We use things like:
React, Linux, Mapbox, Deck.gl, Python, FastAPI, Docker, make, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Terraform, CircleCI, Github, GCP, OpenAPI, Auth0

#615Earlier quoted context omitted.
OK to ignore the cover letter/essay part and just send over the cv? (at least for those who are happily employed already :))
This will not work I am afraid, as we are looking for people with concrete ideas and not so much experience or pedigree... we can teach languages, methodologies, etc, but we cannot teach ideas and that is what we are looking for... So please do not bother as it will not past trough our friendly HR AI...
If that's not what you're doing, then you're screening out people who exercise good judgment.
