Location: Philadelphia, PA (remote considered, must be able to come into office one day per week on average)

Responsibilities:

    - Develop new features, maintain, and upgrade the Ghost Robotics controller Android java app.
    - Work on bug fixing, regression testing, and improving app performance. 
    - Gather customer feedback, document and communicate customer functional requirements. 
    - Work with colleagues to design and implement user interface support for new robot behaviors. 
    - Work with UI/UX designers to iterate on app designs, with user feedback, and implement designs.

    - Four years minimum developing Java Android applications.
    - Bachelor’s in software, computer engineering, or similar discipline.
    - Experience developing a mobile app from early concept into production. 
    - Experience working with remote data via UDP, HTTP, REST APIs, and JSON.

Our engineering team [2] takes prides in producing innovative, maintainable software. We use the cutting-edge Elm programming language for all our front-end development. Our back-end is primarily Ruby on Rails by lines of code, though we're actively moving toward Haskell; the majority of our traffic now goes through a Haskell service. We use Amazon AWS for our infrastructure orchestrated primarily using Kubernetes. We write a lot of tests, and use Jenkins for continuous integration. Our core product is LOGICLY, a web platform that drives the investment process around ESG, factors, lowering costs, increasing potential returns, tax loss harvesting and more.

We are looking for a Senior Quantitative Engineer to join the team and help us grow the next generation of financial tools and navigate the complexities of the financial markets. This role is specifically focused on the quantitative aspects of our product, dealing with portfolios, portfolio backtests, risk profiling and portfolio optimization.

*Requirements*

- Master’s degree in technical field (eg: computer science, engineering, physics) - Strong development skills - Proficiency with optimization methods, including SOCP - Proficiency with portfolio optimization and MPT concepts. - Understanding of tax considerations in the US, handling of tax-lot information and ability to enhance our tax-aware strategies across qualified and non-qualified accounts. - Wealth Management concepts: matching risk profiles to portfolio objectives - Trading Concepts: Ability to enhance and scale our trade rebalancing functionality - Design processes that scale to tens of thousands of accounts.

Our tech stack is comprised of q/kdb+, JavaScript, React, Python and various AWS products. We employ a scalable micro-services framework (Nameko) for rapid data delivery to a global set of users.
