You are: pushing the boundaries of what can be done programmatically with words, text, phonemes, image generation, or music (or an analogous domain dealing with sequences such as bioinformatics or finance) and need an individual who is capable of high-level strategic contributions, can align stake-holders across all areas of the business, is a strong technical architect, can grow and mentor an engineering organization, and is actively involved in the code.
I am: a pianist, writer, teacher, and engineering leader with a wholistic focus on business needs and a love for creative problem-solving. Over the last decade I've designed, architected, built, maintained, and trained replacements to own:
- query generators for navigating medical databases where errors are measured in lives lost
- constraint-based systems for music composition
- low- and no-code platforms for form generation, UIs
- event-sourced streaming systems
- dependency managers for build systems and large-scale machine learning workflows
I excel in: engineering strategy, growing and mentoring engineering teams, and breaking down complex technical and operational issues in a manner that is sensitive to both organizational incentives and feasibility.
