Ask HN: Freelancer? Seeking Freelancer? (April 2019)

I run a machine learning and data science dev agency (https://arialabs.io), particularly for high growth startups and established companies, usually for big projects. How it usually works is we talk with you to figure out your problems, and solve them with a custom assembled team from around the world.

We also do projects integrating web apps with backend machine learning pipelines. For example, we created a messenger app that automatically runs machine learning prediction jobs in the background and displays them through the app.

Technologies:

- Python - TensorFlow - Keras - Pandas - Other ML and DS related libraries - Web technologies - React, Vue, other JS libraries - Node and other backend technologies

Problems solved:

- Clients (lab scientists) wanted to efficiently clean and categorize lab research data. We ran OCR on the handwriting, and used NLP to categorize the types of data from a previous training dataset with a 95% accuracy level.

- Client (a big consulting company with many employees traveling) wanted a messenger app to book flights and hotels directly from various messengers such as Slack. We used NLP to automatically parse and identify intent for the incoming data from these messengers, searched optimal flight and hotel combos, sent the data back through the messengers, and automatically booking these flights and hotels if wanted, saving many hours of manual searching by executive assistants.

- Client (an Amazon product seller) wanted to raise and lower prices based on product demand in real time. We built a custom solution that would analyze many factors on Amazon to figure out when and under which conditions to set a specific price for each product.

Price: $100k+ USD. The clients above either saved or made tens to hundreds of times more in revenue through our efforts.
