Earlier quoted context omitted.

Those are some really bad core hours - what gives? Having to mandatory work until 18 (in Germany) or 19 (Romania) sounds like a nightmare in terms of work life balance/family life.

Fair point - perhaps we differ in our definition of "core hours". For us, core hours are a reserved period for our global team where people should be available for meetings and any important team discussions. This isn't a commitment to being at your desk and working those hours every day. We have many team members across Central and Eastern Europe who we trust to balance their work and life in a way that works for ev…

Oh no, we have the exact same definition and honestly I find it obscene that the UK office, assuming you, gets to end the day at a decent 5PM while colleagues towards the east have to completely sacrifice 5 evenings a week.

I don’t even want to go into that last sentence.

If you are true about caring about people’s work life balance (which doesn’t seem to be the case), there is only one option: core hours in the middle of the work day. This way you accommodate both people who are early risers and the ones that start up later in the day.

Zoo.dev is hiring a Senior Frontend Software Engineer with a core focus on 3D web application performance. Zoo's mission is to revolutionize the CAD industry by developing the world's most advanced hardware design infrastructure and tools. Mechanical CAD is in the dark ages, and hardware demands have outpaced today’s hardware design infrastructure. The industry is due for a refresh, and we're laying the foundation fo…

As someone who fiddles with CAD in his free time this sounds fascinating. > a next-gen hardware design application that allows users with advanced modeling capability But what does this mean?

Thanks for your reply! The team built a code-first CAD GUI that leverages UI for code generation while streaming a 3D scene from our remote, in-house graphics engine that the team built from the ground up- which is the first GPU-based, cloud-implemented system all accessible via our API.

FYI to other applicants, they appear to use "evalground" for interviewing, which seems to require you to install anti-cheating software and be recorded by camera the entire time. If you don't want to do this, you might want to save your time applying.

You posted three of these in this thread alone. Please don't do that. We detached this comment from https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40227127 .

But it's okay to continue spamming postings that don't get updated for a year, wasting users' time on here? This is YCombinator forums right and these companies have to look good for VCs I suppose.

I'll keep that in mind.
