About the company: At Eyenuk, we develop AI-based software medical devices for the detection and monitoring of sight threatening eye disorders, such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma, and systemic disorders such as cardiovascular disease and dementia. Our EyeArt AI system is the first and only FDA cleared AI technology for the autonomous detection of both more than mild and vision-threatening diabetic retinopathy. About the positions: We are hiring software (full-stack) engineers. We are a small, growing team and are therefore looking for people who are generalists and like to learn. Experience with Python and cloud technologies is a plus. Experience with cybersecurity and/or HealthIT is also a plus.

Scientific research contains the most valuable knowledge humans have ever created. Yet, there’s no easy way to search and consume it.

This is the problem the Consensus team is obsessed with solving. Our vision is to create the easiest way to search for expert answers from the world’s most trusted datasets.

We released the first version of our product this fall, a search engine that uses large language models to find answers in research papers. We are a small but rapidly growing startup, looking to add team members excited about solving a huge problem at the intersection of some of the most important forces of our time: AI, Science, and Search.

The Role: You will be joining our software engieering team to help us continue to architect and develop our core infrastructure, with a focus on improving our search engine performance and optimizing our existing data pipelines.

Current technologies: Python, Elasticsearch, Postgres, Apache Beam, GCP/AWS

Core Responsibilities: - Research and implement innovative solutions to improve the relevancy of our search results. - Own substantial pieces of the data pipelines and collaboratively work on optimizing our existing flows. - Help maintain and develop our full stack infrastructure, including integrating productionized ML models into our user facing web application

Seeking an experienced Android developer to join our team on a short-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Android OS and experience with low-level database access, command-line access from ADB, basic app design, and Linux.

Responsibilities:

- Develop Android applications that meet project specifications and requirements - Implement database systems, including cloud and AndroidSQL, with room for future additions - Document database queries and syntax - Develop web pages, including forms and tables filled from SQL queries - Implement websockets and video streaming capabilities - Write and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code D- ebug and troubleshoot issues as needed

Requirements:

US Citizenship - Extensive experience with the Android OS - Strong knowledge of low-level database access, command-line access from ADB, basic app design, and Linux - Proficiency with databases, including cloud and AndroidSQL - Experience with web page design and Javascript - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexible schedule

Note: This is a short-term contract position with a flexible work schedule. The rate for this role is $100 per hour.
