Playco | Engineer | REMOTE preferred | VISA ok San Francisco Bay area (SF) | Tokyo, Japan | Seoul, Korea | https://www.play.co

Calvin here at Playco. We are looking for passionate, collaborative team members to join us in creating games that billions of people can play together. We have just come out of stealth mode to announce $100 million in a Series A fundraise, led by Sequoia Capital. We have been valued at $1 billion and scaling quickly.

Playco has the world's most advanced javascript game technologies, including an engine, server infrastructure, analytics and marketing, among other cool products. We are hiring senior engineers who can tackle architecture and APIs for our game technology on small teams of 5-7 engineers. We are looking for folks to work on our engine and server technologies, the games themselves, or both. For flavor: We maintain our own redux-like lambda-style append-only database for more than 300M users; other examples of projects include when we used code mods to port our engine from a proprietary module and class system to es6. There are numerous projects ongoing, such as first class typescript support to facilitate better tooling and API documentation, a react-powered webgl-based UI system, and our own in-house ads bidding system.

We have projects for hosted real-time multiplayer gaming, social gaming, cross-compilation to native platforms, and many other core infrastructure tools that we would welcome your support on defining and creating.

Our technologies and engine have already been in front of hundreds of millions of users, and we're adding millions of new users monthly. This is a high leverage position, and very senior. We prefer remote work from any timezone because we're looking to build the best engineering team in the world, but we do make office space available in Tokyo, Mountain View, San Francisco, Seoul, and Sophia. For the right hire we will be flexible to obtain a visa to anywhere where we have offices if it helps.

We are also actively looking for new team members across ranges of leadership roles in product, engineering, business development, and operations.

Please email linda@play.co Subject: Playco Engineering: YOUR NAME HERE Please include a personal note about your background and interests so we can prioritize your application.

Razorpay - https://razorpay.com | Senior Frontend Engineer | Full time | Bangalore, India | ONSITE (Remote during COVID-19 till March 2021)

Why do we keep going back to netflix, airbnb, uber or whatsapp? What is so good about these platforms that as a user we crave for it. In one word, it's the experience.

At Razorpay, in Payments team we are responsible for creating world class experiences for our Merchants.

In a winner takes all market, Experience is the differentiator to prevent customers from leaving your platform. Razorpay operates in a B2B setup and merchants are our primary customers. They are our bread and butter. The Payments Dashboard team owns the experience touchpoints with the Merchants.

Consider yourself as a good fit if you question things before starting on them, see things holistically, empathize with the merchants and want to help us craft the differentiating merchant experience. Some of the challenges that we are solving for our Merchants are :-

Self serve capabilities: Every merchant ticket is an input to evaluate how we could prevent it in the first place. Think; when was the last time you had reached out to amazon support? Tickets are not scalable. Ideas???

Availability: Downtime for us means unhappy Merchants, slurry of social media escalations and substantial brand damage. How do we ensure five 9’s availability?

Performance: Its a large codebase and there's a cost to the javascript shipped. We want to work within our budgets and take performance budgeting very seriously.

Continual Optimisations: We proactively identify ideas like design systems, monorepo's, FT framework, followed by detailed tech speccing( an example) and then carefully including these in our day to day operations.

BFF: The current dashboard BE has lived its course and is scheduled to die in the near future. We will be moving to a swanky new GraphQL layer and you will be a part of this journey.

Come join us as we use the latest capabilities of react.js like context, hooks etc, jest, react-query, graphql, storybook /service workers for contract driven development and help us navigate the next leg of this journey.

Please reply on the same thread or drop a mail to 6swb7vkxvd@privaterelay.appleid.com or DM me on http://linkedin.com/in/sandeshdamkondwar with your impressive profile link, I'll reach out to you personally.

ActiveVideo | http://activevideo.com | Hilversum NL / Netherlands

Short version:

Our company is looking for an allround AOSP/android systems developer who is comfortable going from C++ to Java, from init to stagefright, from vold to art and surfaceflinger to bionic.

Somewhat longer version:

We are building a platform where we run AOSP at scale inside a cloudy system, where graphics (GLES2) and audio/video media is offloaded to a custom thin client running on STBs. At the core of this product there is our own port of AOSP running in an x86_64 container instead of on an ARM SOC. We have tons of cool work to be done on this platform: custom services, optimizing resource usage, tweaking UI's, etc.

We are looking for someone who is strong at graphics and multimedia, is comfortable with both C++ and Java, and most important of all: who has loads of experience hacking their way around all levels of AOSP. We are located in The Netherlands, although with the current COVID situation I guess there is no hurry to move. Being in .eu time zone is a pro.

If you are interested, please drop mail me at hn@zevv.nl and I'll be glad to answer any questions and provide more details.
