I'm just coming off of a contract and looking for something long or short-term. I've got a fairly broad range of experience, but I'm best suited to full-stack development using technologies like Go, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Docker, and typical front end technologies. I'm comfortable fine-tuning React components or building a CLI tool with Rust — my primary focus is always making useful, awesome things that people will love using, regardless of where it's used or how it's built. That's what drives me and keeps me engaged.

Something else I enjoy a lot is supporting a team. With my experience comes a lot of opportunities to mentor, break down learning barriers, and make development better for my team mates. There's nothing better than helping someone plan a confident path forward, unblocking them, or teaching them something new — it multiplies outputs and makes a day so much more rewarding.

Although I have recent experience with embedded systems, that's kind of outlying; I have a fascination with that technology, but the bulk of what I do is on the web. What I'm best at typically happens in a browser. Occasionally I'll take on jobs that'll send me into robotics and embedded systems, but I'm never too far from my core, primary skill sets. I'm also not all that amazing with electronics or embedded programming; mostly just enthusiastic.

Hi, I'm Theo. I'm currently finishing up my Master's in CS at the University of Cambridge, with a focus on geometrically-inspired approaches to ML.I'm looking for ML Engineer/Data Scientist jobs in NYC (where I lived and worked prior to my degree), but am open to remote jobs in the US generally (and am a US citizen so no visa requirements). Open to almost any industry, my number one criteria is working on interesting analytical and engineering problems! My previous experience was as a data scientist at a hedge fund, working on leveraging alternative data to analyze private investment opportunities. I'm comfortable getting my hands dirty with messy datasets, building my own ETL pipelines, and working on challenging, ill-defined analytical problems that require creative solutions. Technology-wise I'm best in python, including the usual DS stack (pandas/sklearn etc.), and am experienced with DL libraries (mainly PyTorch, some JAX/TF), and probabilistic programming/bayesian statistics libraries (PyMC3, BoTorch).
