Springshare | Full Stack Intermediate & Senior Software Engineers | Full-time | Remote

Must love libraries (not just code libraries, lol, but actual institutions e.g. your local public library, college library, or your kids' school library). Since 2007 we've been helping libraries thrive in today's online-first world. Springshare is a well-established yet small-ish (under 100 people) EdTech SaaS with over 7,000 institutional customers in 90 countries.

Tech stack: Linux/nginx/php/mysql/redis/elasticsearch/elasticache on the back-end, and JS/Angular/html5 on the front-end, all hosted on AWS cloud.

Experience/Requirements: We're looking at full-stack generalists but also specialists, too - if you'd rather do back-end only work or front-end only development there's plenty of work we can give you!

* 5+ years experience with core PHP and MySQL/Redis * Angular experience for front-end work * Experience developing modern, mobile-first, accessible web apps * Ability to work with complex code base, refactor code, and apply design patterns * Strong experience in OOP and MVC concepts and writing performant code * Familiarity with web and cloud security concerns and remedies * Strong remote work experience and communication skills

Residency requirements: These are full-time WFH position but to be on our payroll you must be a resident of one of the following US States: FL, NY, MA, PA, KY, TX, or CA. We will consider exceptional international candidates but the hours must overlap significantly with the US working hours.

Why Springshare? Challenging projects and good benefits & perks (competitive salary, 401K employer matching, generous time-off policies, non-pressure-cooker work environment). Working in a small team - a dozen+ engineers writing production-level code that powers the library experience for tens of millions of users worldwide. We don't do stock options because we'll never go public or be acquired for gazillions. Instead, we're building a strong company for the long haul and aim to provide a stable work environment and a long-term career opportunity to all Springys.

We love libraries and want to see them thrive. Hope you do too!

Truework | Software Engineer, Engineering Manager, Data Analyst | San Francisco, CA | Full time | Onsite | https://www.truework.com/careers/

Truework is hiring a product-oriented senior software engineer, and engineering manager (EM), and a data analyst to help overhaul employment and income verification in the United States.

Banks and background check providers often request employment and income data from your current and former employers to approve mortgages and loans or complete pre-employment screening. Your employer likely shares important details about your employment, including your title, job duration, and wages, with third party credit agencies to fulfill these requests. Unfortunately, this process is not transparent for employees and can be slow and error-prone for employers and verifiers.

Truework is building a modern employment and income verification platform to give employees visibility and control into how their employment information is shared with others. We are growing quickly and currently handle thousands of verifications every month, which has enabled the approval of billions of dollars in loans and helps employees in regulated professions (e.g. nursing) start work more quickly than before.

Our team is still small, which means you’ll play big a part in shaping the future of Truework, and your work will have a significant impact and visibility. We are a Django and React (Typescript) shop, and run our infrastructure on AWS.

If you’re interested or want to know more about working at Truework, send me a note at (my HN username)@truework.com.
