Independent Rust developer, one-man Kentucky LLC. Current work, all public at https://github.com/merely-made:
• Retinue: a wire-compatible Rust implementation of the Reticulum mesh protocol, verified live against successive versions of the Python reference (RNS 1.3.8, 1.4.0, 1.4.2): identity, announces, links, request/response, multi-segment resource transfer, multi-hop transport routing. Also runs on real LoRa hardware (nRF52840/ESP32 nodes exchanging data over the air), building toward county-scale emergency mesh pilots
• A wgpu render host (Genet, Servo-lineage) and a maintained Xilem-lineage UI stack (Cambium / Meristem / Sprigging)
• Mere: the graph-native, p2p workbench served by the above
Strong fits: protocol implementation, embedded/no_std, async/concurrency, rendering, and the gnarly-systems-bug tier of work. I did an English degree and freelance editing before the code career, so hopefully I write documentation and technical prose people actually read.
I usually do contract but am interested in laying down roots with a good team!
