Hi, I am currently looking for a job in some creative industry which has a positive impact on the society. Not interested in adtech, fintech or cryptotech, I am sorry.

  Location: Slovakia
  Remote: Yes
  Willing to relocate: Possibly
Technologies: primarily Python (and Django), some TypeScript (mostly Node.js backend), little Go
  Résumé/CV: https://pbasista.gitlab.io/website/cv.pdf
  Email: pbasista@gmail.com
My background is in theoretical computer science. I have ~10 YoE working as a software developer. Mostly in backend roles and mostly in Python. So far I have worked mainly in the fintech industry and I am looking for a change. I am very willing to learn anything new I am missing.

I would like working e.g. on some low-level code optimizations, with closer-to-hardware languages, possibly with embedded devices. I am primarily looking for a job that I would like and where I would be happy to get involved in deeper and help make the product better.

Available for part-time or full-time contract work, preferably on a long-term basis, but I'm also available for smaller projects.

I am very flexible with my working hours (mostly working with clients from USA). I am a full-stack developer with more than 8 years of professional experience mostly in Node.js, C# .NET and React as a freelance developer. I don't shy away from the DevOps and DBA parts of the project either. I also like to create beautiful UI's that users love.

I prefer a long-term contract, but I'm also available for smaller projects.

I also work through Toptal. My CV is available on my toptal profile and my website.

My name is Burhanuddin Rashid, and I am a software engineer with 8+ years of experience in developing mobile applications. I am an open-source enthusiast and a Google Developer Expert in Dart and Flutter.

I owe most of my career to the open-source community. I got exposed to this when I open-sourced my first Android PhotoEditor library, which reached around 3.8K stars and is still active. This led me to an opportunity to speak at Droidcon Berlin 2021, sharing my open-source learnings.

Work-wise, currently, I am working remotely from SFO for a startup called Rock, which is a chat plus task management app. We are a remote-first company and building a product that allows users to work remotely in an asynchronous manner with fewer meetings.

My biggest contribution so far in the product was to improve code and app quality by introducing testing to the team.

Before that, I was the Android tech lead to build an offline-first app to manage package delivery with real-time location tracking, collaborating with a remote team. Apart from this, I've also worked on web and backend technologies like React and Spring Boot, which gives me additional knowledge of how the system works end-to-end.

Also, in my free time, I learn and share my knowledge by writing blogs, newsletters, Youtube videos, or speaking at conferences.

I specialize in mentoring juniors so that they can become productive quickly. I am looking for a company that would be willing to hire more juniors if they had a senior to work with them, guide them, and ensure they deliver.
