Novi Connect | Remote (US) |

I’m the Head of Engineering and I'm looking for Ruby on Rails, frontend web, data engineering & infrastructure engineers. We are working to make it easier/possible for the world of cosmetics & wellness products to avoid toxic substances and promote cleaner, more transparent, ethical & regulated products.

Email me joe at noviconnect dot com or apply at https://jobs.lever.co/Novi/a334640b-e60d-4f4d-878e-f60bca6e7... No recruiters please

--- Our vision is to enable the future of consumer cosmetic product development for a healthier and less toxic world. We’re doing this by creating the only product that can asess a brand's ingredients against stringent regulatory chemical policies in real time, offer viable alternatives to any ingredients not met, and offer access to a a pre-vetted marketplace to build a product from start to finish.

For example, this allows a brand to know their product has substances banned in the EU or that they'll need to change an ingredient to be able to sell under the a retailers 'Clean' line. Currently we work with brands, retailers and manufacturers in the beauty and wellness space, but the world is our oyster as there are many industries that sneak nasty chemicals into their products!

Umlaut | Power grid, energy experts | Full-Time | Dallas, Detroit, Seattle, Bay Area | https://umlaut.com/

Umlaut solves problems in the transportation and utility industries. Personally I work on prototype cars, but right now when I look at the job board, we have a bunch of open positions for energy-sector engineers and project managers. I suspect it's EV-charging-related.

Plus other stuff; my own group needs Detroit-area embedded software and hardware engineers, for instance. Data-science analysts, cybersecurity engineers, the list goes on!

The listings are here: https://www.umlaut.com/career

If you want to apply for any of these, you can go through that site and be anonymous, or email me (see profile) and I'll generate a tracked link for you, which skips you past the first step and gets you straight to the hiring manager.

SimplePay | Ruby on Rails Developers | UTC+0 to UTC+8 | REMOTE

SimplePay is a profitable, developer-owned online payroll software company, with solid annual growth. Our software lets 23,000 small business owners (and their accountants) run their South African, Ireland, Singapore and Hong Kong payrolls without headaches, so they can focus on the challenge of building their businesses. We're also developing new product lines.

Our development team was already mostly remote pre-pandemic. We have a very supportive culture, and are putting a lot of thought into ensuring remote work is happy work.

To find out more about us, check our developer blog (https://tech.simplepay.cloud) or about page (https://www.simplepay.co.za/about)

Do you believe SPAs are overkill for most apps, but wouldn't mind digging into Vue.js for pages that will benefit from the increased interactivity? Do you laugh when people give up the power of SQL DBs in favour of data stores that don't offer any benefits for their use case? If so, you may fit in well with our mindset.

Experience: Ruby on Rails. If you've used other web frameworks and are keen to get into Rails we'd definitely consider you! Just be sure to mention that in your application. The work is mostly on the back-end, but some front-end skills are welcome - we're doing more and more interactive things with Vue.js.

Location: UTC+0 to UTC+8

Please apply at https://teamsimplepay.applytojob.com/apply/52BYVkQodf/Senior... and attach your resume / CV in PDF format. In the "Cover Letter" section of the application, please include 1) the time zone in which you reside, and 2) a link to a PR created or an issue logged for an open source project (no matter how small or long ago) as the first two lines. Also tell us why you would like to join SimplePay.
