Looking for a startup where the highest-value activity is reducing uncertainty.

I’m strongest when there is:

* unclear customer pain * messy operational processes * incomplete technical systems * a need to rapidly test ideas

I enjoy the loop:

observe → model the system → build the smallest useful intervention → measure → repeat.

Less “implement the spec,” more “discover what the spec should have been.”

Interested in AI infrastructure, developer tools, and operational software.

Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead, 15+ years across:

  - Trading systems (current): built and operate multiple trading
strategies end to end — data collection pipeline at 100K+
records/s, ML strategies live in production, LLM-based ops agent with
    emergency-shutdown authority
  - Google (3.5+ yrs): multi-region infrastructure metadata platform (Cloud);
    Chrome Password Manager on Android
  - Hardware + research: quantum key distribution stack (single-photon hardware,
FPGA integration), industrial fiber sensing (Phase-OTDR, Bragg), icebreaker
    hull monitoring
  - Founding backend engineer at a ticketing startup

Mostly startup-like environments as a hands-on engineering lead. I like hard
constraints — latency budgets, custom hardware, research-team integrations —
and owning systems from architecture through production ops.

Location: Vietnam (GMT+7)

Remote: Yes — daily overlap with US-Eastern mornings (~9:30am–1:30pm ET)

Willing to relocate: No (remote only)

Technologies: Python (10+ yrs) — Django/DRF, FastAPI, Celery · LLM agent orchestration (LangGraph, MCP, Claude Code/Codex/Antigravity, Gastown, Openclaw) · RAG (pgvector + Cohere) · workflow automation (n8n, ComfyUI) · PostgreSQL/Redis · Docker, GitHub Actions · Playwright · Stripe

Senior backend/AI engineer. For the last two years I built and ran autonomous coding agents in production: they pick up bug reports, reproduce, fix, write tests, and open PRs - engineers review instead of writing. The same multi-agent harness now runs a fully automated content platform (five sites, no human in the publish loop). Before LLMs: cryptocurrency exchanges, an end-to-end ML training platform, and 10 years mentoring at Vietnam's biggest Python community (Pymi.vn).

What I care about: agent infra where correctness and observability actually matter — building systems where an agent can be wrong without being dangerous (credential isolation, sandboxed tools, review gates). Contract or full-time.

Senior Backend / Product Engineer with 10+ years of experience building and owning production systems from early-stage products to high-scale platforms.

Most recently at Agoda, where I worked on B2B platform systems and redesigned partner configuration/email infrastructure, improving new partner launch velocity by 5–10x. Previously at Groove/Clari, I owned major parts of a real-time communication product, and at VueOps I led development of a document platform and migrated its file-processing engine to serverless infrastructure, reducing infrastructure cost 5x and failures 3x.

I’ve also spent 2026 building an AI-powered language-learning product from scratch and consulting with an early-stage AI startup.

I’m particularly interested in Senior/Staff Backend, Product Engineer, Founding Engineer, or early-stage engineering roles where I can own systems end-to-end rather than work on a narrow slice of the stack.

Happy to talk with founders or engineering teams building technically challenging products.

I'm a founding engineer working part-time, remote, on monthly output-based retainers. You define what needs to exist. I own it from schema to deploy, and I bring the product calls back to you.

What I've shipped:

1. Tenpo (youth-sports marketplace, San Francisco). Built the production verified-reviews system in a 30-day contract: schema, APIs, moderation dashboards, and automated publish and notification flows. Every read and write path secured with Postgres row-level security. 200+ merged commits, and I closed every finding from the CTO's line-by-line review.

2. The Scientific Place (my own edtech platform). 240,000+ visitors on $0 marketing, featured in Morning Brew and Smashing Magazine. A constraint-satisfaction engine generates procedural puzzles, and a separate cryptographic layer handles anti-cheat. Peaked at 11,000 visitors in one day on a single VPS.

3. Himaya71 (emergency response). Founding engineer on a live pilot. Client-side indoor navigation that reroutes around active fire zones in under 100ms, a YOLOv8 headcount pipeline over RTSP streams, and a custom Android background service for persistent GPS. Won a $5,400 prize and a signed pilot contract.

4. AIWAY (fintech). Designed and ran four interconnected production systems as the sole engineer at near 100% uptime, including a Prophet forecasting engine and a Telegram trading terminal for Binance and Bybit.

5. ASOgency (app-marketing agency, Dubai). First tool live five days after onboarding: a Figma plugin that localizes app screenshots across 39 languages in a single pass, replacing hours of manual editing.

I use AI tooling like autocomplete. It makes me faster, but it doesn't make the decisions, and nothing ships that I haven't read.

The shape: async, billed monthly against agreed output rather than hours. Long-term preferred. Cash, no equity. Part-time because I'm finishing a software engineering degree (4.00 GPA). UAE Golden Visa, self-sponsored.
