Shameless plug: made a searcher for this (and any other HN's) thread - it runs locally in-browser by loading all top-level comments to in-browser SQLite, lets you run regular SQL and also full-text search (FTS4) to filter results any way needed. While it doesn't have to be giant or complex, it needs to be more than say a homework problem. That said, we have received impressive code samples from new college graduates or even internship candidates, usually from significant course projects or something they have developed on the side.
