1Password | Senior Product Manager Dev Tools | Full-time | 100% Remote, Worldwide| https://jobs.lever.co/1password/982dbbaf-bc3a-4a47-ac4a-4c40...

Over 100,000 businesses and millions of people use 1Password to protect their most important information, and we believe those people – and the companies they work for – shouldn’t have to choose between security and productivity. We see security as a human challenge, rather than a technological one. It’s hard work, but our mission has always been to ease the tension between security and convenience and help people navigate the digital world without fear or friction. Human-centric security is part of our DNA, but human-centricity is also the backbone of our culture. We encourage big ideas and new ways of working that help us to make the online world a safer place for everyone.

We're looking for a technical PM to join us in making 1Password indispensable to devs at every step in the SDLC. Fun team, fun people, and big ambitions with the largest funding round in Canadian history. Above all, we got Ryan Reynolds.

If this all sounds gravy, apply directly or mail us at dev-products@agilebits.com

Volt Labs | Tulsa or Remote | Rust, Golang, Python, Typescript, Angular | Full-time | https://www.textvolt.com At Volt, our mission is to make leveraging communication infrastructure easy. Earlier this year, we took lessons from our experience running an SMS platform and launched an SMS messaging ops solution for software companies struggling with deliverability. Managing SMS deliverability takes a lot of manual effo…

So you optimize text spamming?

That’s a fair question—we’re not in the business of enabling SMS spam, and we have a strict anti-spam policy that we enforce. Some of the use cases that we want to help with delivery are SMS 2FA, alert messaging, account notifications, customer care, etc. Everyone who sends SMS, including large, trusted brands, struggles with deliverability at a certain scale.

Open edX / OpenCraft | Full-time | TRUE REMOTE (async/worldwide) | Senior Open Source Developer on Open edX - React, Python/Django, AWS/Kubernetes Do you care about contributing to open-source, and appreciate a good challenge? We do too! :) Open-source We are a team of veteran open-source developers, working on educational and community-based projects in an open-first environment – and we are looking for new members.…

Interested in seeing how startups (and large companies) are tackling TRUE REMOTE. Just skimmed your handbook and it looks fantastic! I imagine documentation is crucial. Any other resources on how you have evolved and managed remote work? (I only looked briefly but didnt find a section in the handbook). Thanks!

Yes, documentation is quite crucial! There are actually lots of elements that we developed over the year to manage the full remote -- and we started as true remote / any timezone from the ground up 10 years ago, so quite a lot went into it over the years. Most of the handbook itself comes from that - and as you have noted it has gotten quite thick ;p

But I think if I had to narrow it down to one core element, it's to focus on making all the processes as asynchronous as possible. Ie, limit chat & meetings to the strict minimum, and replaced them with async discussions on tickets, PRs, forums & checklists tools like https://www.listaflow.com/ (we have even gotten rid of the sprint meetings! no more 3am meeting for anyone, even when in the Pacific :) ). Also we come from the free software / open source world, so quite a lot is inspired from it.

If you're interested in discussing more, don't hesitate to reply & ask questions here, or email me at xavier AT opencraft DOT com.
