I’m not a traditional developer candidate. I’ve worked with enterprise systems, data, and product operations at DHL Supply Chain and Mercedes-Benz Türk, and I’m now teaching myself Python and backend development.

I don’t have years of production coding experience, but I know how to understand complex systems, communicate with technical teams, and keep learning until I can contribute. I’m looking for a company willing to invest in a disciplined, reliable self-learner who wants to grow with one team for the long term.

*Location:* Edmonton, Canada *Remote:* Yes *Willing to relocate:* Yes, within Canada

*Technologies:* Rust, C++, C#, TypeScript, Python, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, KDB+, ScyllaDB, Docker, Linux

Most recently, I was a *Senior Software Engineer at Eden*, where I co-authored *FastTelemetry*, an open-source Rust metrics library that replaced the OpenTelemetry SDK on our proxy after it became a bottleneck under millions of ops/sec. Thread-local increment is ~2 ns vs. ~40–400 ns for contended atomics on 16 cores. I also wrote an internal Rust logging library 3× faster than `env_logger`, built the Datadog dashboards the team runs on, and worked on a Redis-backed migration pipeline hitting 100 MB/s.

Before Eden, I spent *18 months at Bitwyre*, rotating through three teams. I built HFT and market-making systems in C++/Python over Kafka, WebSockets, and KDB+ for time-series market data, then designed core primitives for a Layer-1 blockchain that reached *50,000+ TPS* (CUDA-accelerated VM, DAG mempool, Tower BFT consensus). I also co-founded a side project, *ZeroBlock*, where I reduced a critical backend endpoint from 500 ms to 7 ms.

I care most about *systems-level Rust, performance engineering, and infrastructure that has to hold up under real workloads*. I'm equally comfortable in C++, C#, or full-stack TypeScript (React/Next.js/Express) when the problem calls for it. Comfortable working with senior engineers, and I've onboarded and mentored junior developers.

Who I am: Fractional CTO with 25+ years of experience building and scaling products across multiple generations of the web. I’m often brought in to turn ideas into working systems quickly, or to stabilize and evolve existing platforms.

I’ve led teams, hired engineers, defined architecture, and stayed hands-on in the code. My work spans AI-driven platforms, streaming media systems, and full-stack web applications. I’m comfortable operating at both the executive strategy level and deep in implementation.

Known for being a “Swiss army knife” technologist who can bridge product, engineering, and execution without overengineering.

What I am looking for: Fractional CTO or Head/Director of Technology roles.

Best fit: startups or growing companies that need someone to own technical direction, ship quickly, and make practical decisions without unnecessary complexity.

Strong interest in AI-powered products, media/streaming, and content platforms, but open to any project where execution speed and clarity matter.
