#523Remote: Yes (async-first, worldwide)
Willing to relocate: No
Technologies: AI agents, LLM inference (self-hosted / open-weight), Python, TypeScript, GPU infrastructure, voice AI, data pipelines
Résumé/CV: https://ferretout.ai (live product — status page at /status is the résumé)

Seeking contract / fixed-scope work, not full-time. Specialty: AI agent systems that keep working when nobody's watching — the agent logic, the GPU infrastructure underneath, and the guardrails.
Live proof instead of a portfolio claim: my product FerretOut ingests the full Hacker News firehose 24/7 and scores it for buying intent on optimized open source models — the status page at https://ferretout.ai/status is public and running right now.
What I take on, fixed scope: agent/automation builds that run unattended · open-weight LLM serving (quantization measured against honest evals, batching, failover; private inference for data-residency/HIPAA work) · voice agents for children and elderly users (sub-second turns, guardrails) · high-volume data pipelines (ingest, enrich, classify).
How I work: written scope doc before anything is billed, 50% to schedule, async progress you can check at any hour — no meetings needed.

I'm an oldschool "let's figure it out and get it done" nerd. I can wear one hat, or many, depending on what's needed. If your company is an API wrapper or you are insisting your devs use AI then I'm not the dev for you.Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (July 2026)

25 years of shipping software. I co-founded an e-commerce company that became the leader of its category in Brazil and today does 7 figures a month in revenue; as CTO I built the store, the payment integrations, and the logistics platform from scratch and scaled them through the growth years. Since then, senior and staff roles at US SaaS companies: modernizing legacy systems nobody else wanted to touch, leading architecture work that entire orgs adopted, cutting an infrastructure bill by an order of magnitude. These days I work on financial systems moving eight figures a month.
Domain-wise I've gone deep in payments and billing, healthcare, e-commerce, and publishing/martech, almost all of it B2B SaaS.
Not actively looking, but open to conversations about hard problems at the senior/staff level.
