SerpApi | https://serpapi.com | Junior-to-Senior Fullstack Engineer | Customer Success Engineer | Talent Acquisition Specialist | Based in Austin, TX but remote-first structure | Full-time | ONSITE or FULLY REMOTE | $150K - 180K a year 1099 for US or local avg + 20% for outside the US SerpApi is the leading API to scrape and parse search engine results. We deeply support Google, Google Maps, Google Images, Bing, Baid…

For the junior role, what kind of skills and experience are you looking for? Are you only considering US-based talent? It doesn't specify.

I'm US-based and am very early on in my transition from SalesOps to engineering. While I imagine most other US-based talent would consider the listed salary range quite low, I'd be willing to accept it as it would be an opportunity to learn and grow with a product I have personally used and enjoyed!

I wouldn't call this noise.. The job poster knows the rules and decides to break them anyway. Potentional applicants should be made aware of that.

Anything this common becomes noise, since it doesn't add any new information. Heres' another way to look at it: since the idea of HN is to be intellectually interesting ( https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sor... ), repetition is the most important thing to avoid ( https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&so... ).

I'd say the Who's hiring post is by definition bound to not have intellectually stimulating discussion, so this logic doesn't track for me.

That's a good point! But I'd still say (1) we don't want it to be a thing anywhere on HN, and also (2) these threads are already overwhelmingly large.

I understand where you're coming from.. My takeaway is that a HN post is not the right tool for the job in this case. (pun not intended)

I've been seeing your job ad in the last few hiring threads.

Are you willing to share whether you are finding it difficult to find someone or it's the fact that your services are in demand, so you need to expand your team?

Disclosure: I applied a few months ago, but I didn't pass your automated testing process. So I admit my question is not without bias, as I think your process can make you pass on valuable candidates. But if it works for you.
