Does it make sense to apply from Switzerland? i.e. Paris tech salaries are stuck in 50k-70k afaik.

You think a french organisation will pay you more because you are not in France?

You think a consultant in Switzerland or US will bill you by bargain rate because you are in France?

Ferrum Health | REMOTE (EU, Mexico, South America, Canada) | Full Time | Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer (Platform) | https://ferrumhealth.com

Medical errors are the third leading cause of death in the US, and Ferrum builds AI-powered monitoring systems to help health systems detect and address mistakes before they affect patient care.

Ferrum is a fully remote and distributed company focused around the US West (UTC-08:00) and Western European (UTC+02:00) time zones. Since launching its first offering for lung cancer errors two years ago, Ferrum now covers over 10 million patients at ten health systems around the world, including the US. The company is backed by multiple top-tier venture capital firms and is led by an experienced digital health founding team that includes industry leaders in enterprise healthcare, machine learning, and edge infrastructure security.

We are looking for two roles.

Our Platform team is looking for a senior/mid-level platform software engineer with a strong understanding of Linux networking, storage technologies, and deploying Kubernetes in production environments. As a Platform Engineer, you would be responsible for delivering a scalable, distributed orchestration platform and using Go to develop applications for the platform end-users.

Our Infrastructure team is looking for a senior/mid-level infrastructure engineer with a strong understanding of using Docker containers in release management and configuration management workflows on GCP. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you would ensure best practices and procedures while improving CI pipelines and ensuring stability and security of our systems.

You would be joining a small engineering organization that has proven track records of delivering solutions in the networking, storage, and machine learning spaces.

Our ideal candidates have proven technical skills in addition to a passion for improving the quality of healthcare.

If they were willing to pay so much over local market price they would find local employees. In a capitalist society a labor shortage only exists if the employer is not willing to pay enough.

That's not my experience and generally speaking, local FTE salaries vs consultant rates are different things.

Although, you might be right for this particular case.
