I am an electrical engineer based in Ontario, Canada. I'm very interested in the energy transition, especially the shift to electric vehicles, electric heat and the opportunities this creates in the electricity sector.

Looking for contract, part-time or volunteer work, specifically in renewable energy or smart grid consulting. I can also help write/review grant applications for Canadian federal/provincial support, but outside my areas of direct work.

Preferably smart grid technology, wind energy, solar PV, energy policy. Happy to chat about the long term revenue streams on the electricity grid, especially opportunities on the distribution system.

Location: Remote, prefer opportunities in US/Canada

Experience - Fifteen years total. Wind energy design background (Netherlands), Power systems degrees, experience working with the Canadian Federal government.

Remote: Yes, please. Willing to relocate: No.

Senior Software Engineer focused on systems-level programming and performance. Creator of CSVToolkit, a high-performance CSV suite (3.6x–4.8x faster than native PHP), and contributor to Laravel. My expertise includes building PHP extensions in C/Zig, diving into the Zend engine, and optimizing backend systems for speed and scalability.

Currently open to remote opportunities only due to health constraints, ideally in roles that involve developer tooling, PHP internals, or performance-critical backend work.

Let’s build fast, efficient, and reliable software.

I’m a product designer and frontend developer with over a decade of experience designing and building digital products—from startup prototypes to enterprise tools—with a focus on design systems, dashboards, developer tools, AI interfaces, and branded experiences that teams can ship confidently and efficiently.

Most recently, I've been expanding my development skills and diving into using tools like Claude Code, Cursor and the expanding ecosystem of AI tools to both be more productive and help support my own prototypes.
