Vaayu | Remote (European Timezones) | Full-Time | https://www.vaayu.tech/

At Vaayu, we are on a mission to fight climate change. E-commerce has a big climate impact so we are focusing our efforts on helping retailers measure and reduce their carbon emissions. Calculating carbon manually can take months and is very expensive. Our goal is to make carbon analytics easily accessible to every online retailer.

Our automated software is already serving sustainability leaders like Klarna, Wunderman Thompson, Armed Angels or Organic Basics, linking up with shop platforms to deliver the tools necessary for retailers to take charge of their environmental footprint.

We are a distributed company based in Berlin, with an international and diverse team throughout Europe. Last April we closed an $11.5 million seed funding round led by Atomico.[1]

If you are an innovator, want to work at a purpose-driven startup, and would like to collaborate with us in shaping the culture of a growing team on a mission to make a positive impact on our planet, we’d love to hear from you!

Our current stack includes: Golang, JavaScript, Python, Vue.js, D3.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j, BigQuery, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Google Cloud, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform. We are also open to other technologies.

Space Sciences Lab, UC Berkeley | Software Engineer | Berkeley, CA | ONSITE and HYBRID FULLTIME | https://www.ssl.berkeley.edu/

You know that NASA mission control room where where a tightly knit team of headset-wearing operators excitedly awaits telemetry from the latest space probe? That's where you'll work in this position! From its perch on the Berkeley hillside overlooking the San Francisco Bay, the SSL Missions Operations center directly operates over half a dozen NASA spacecraft that are actively conducting peaceful scientific research. We're looking for software engineers to develop both ground and flight software for existing and upcoming missions. This software takes a variety of forms and is typically involved with routing and monitoring telemetry, generating commands, scheduling operations, performing encryption / decryption, and more.

* Expect to work closely with a small team of other highly-engaged engineers while enjoying a significant level of autonomy.

* The work environment isn't corporate or startup; it's an independent research lab in a university setting. The engineering work is both interesting and impactful, and there is great appreciation here for engineers who love their craft.

Open positions:

Ground Software: https://careerspub.universityofcalifornia.edu/psp/ucb/EMPLOY...

Flight Software: https://careerspub.universityofcalifornia.edu/psp/ucb/EMPLOY...

US persons only, please, due to the sensitive nature of this position.

Global Income Coin | Remote | Full Time | Non Profit | $100k+

Global Income Coin is building a stablecoin that lifts people out of extreme poverty by providing a basic income. We're a nonprofit startup. Our mission is zero extreme poverty.

The stablecoin is called Glo. Glo is the ethical cryptocurrency. We will compete with the current stablecoin incumbents (Tether, USDC), but will also aim for mainstream adoption beyond the crypto world. Ultimately we strive for Glo to be widely used for payments just like the dollar or the euro.

Glo will be a fully-backed stablecoin. We will invest our treasuries in short-term treasury bills, then give the proceeds from that investment away to GiveDirectly. This will be the starting point for our vision of a crypto-based UBI.

We raised a $2m seed donation from Sid Sijbrandij (GitLab, YC W15) and are hiring broadly to help realize this vision:

- Head of Community

- Lead Writer

- Copywriter

- Communications and Social Media Manager

- Brand partnerships manager

- Operations manager

- Motivated individuals with a vision for how to grow GLO
