Software engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and over ten years of experience in several technologies and programming languages. There are two fields where I mainly act: (1) DevOps; from database administration and data modelling to back-end programming or front-end design all the way to orchestrated deployment with latest tech and (2) Standalone software; involves embedded development in restrict environments, blockchain applications mostly related to Parity's Substrate and plain command-line interfaces.

On the open-source side of things, I regularly contribute to several projects, helping and communicating with other developers. Take a look at the available coding portfolio in my GitHub profile at https://github.com/c410-f3r where most public collaborations in the last five years were more focused on the Rust Programming Language ecosystem.

Over 40 certified courses have been completed and nine professional certifications that covers a wide range of areas were obtained from different organizations, e.g., Linux Foundation and the Blockchain Training Alliance. Learning is very important to keep up with both old and new technologies, my newest certification is the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and more certifications will be earned over time.

In my last work experience I refactored, architected and developed many key parts of a Parachain always aiming for security, readability, robustness and maintainability, which contributed to two successful marketing campaigns. In addition to all this and to finish, I also created and deployed a brand new Relay Chain like Kusama or Polkadot for custom usage and testing.

I'm a young and eager-to-learn front-end developer with strong design literacy. I've worked internships at both product and consulting tech companies.

I have been experiencing hardships for the past few years and and am finally taking the time and risk to fully re-enter my software engineering career. With those came skills, perspectives, and communication abilities that will enrich my life for years to come. Please consider my unusual path as a strength. I would appreciate to hear about any opportunity that would allow me to contribute and grow.

Backend Engineer and Ex-Founder with 15 years of experience. I have spent the last few years consulting, architecting, and building solutions for clients. Mostly working on backends that should operate at scale. I am currently interested in moving away from solo-consulting and looking forward to working with a strong remote team where I can both share from my experiences and learn new things.

Previously, I spent many years working on intranet and e-commerce/webshops for enterprise customers in the telecom industry, building an E-Business development platform and automation engine used to develop hundreds of projects, and building a PaaS that makes backend development for mobile, web, and IoT apps almost trivial. I then founded and ran a healthtech startup, where I wore many hats including backend developer, customer relations, sales, and marketing.

In my previous position, I served as tech lead to a team building the enterprise cybersecurity SaaS, Forge. This product offers a web-based workflow to design effective, efficient password cracking plans.

The software created jobs based on these plans and distributed them to local and cloud GPUs, cracking passwords under great urgency.

I led successful delivery of releases of Forge to meet tight deadlines for customers in the US Federal Government and a major US health system.

In addition to individual contributions as a SWE, I owned large initiatives formalizing technical project management and collaborative release processes.

I owned the containerization of the product moving deployment from Jenkins to Github Actions and bare-metal product installs to docker orchestration.

--

I had a solo founder exit in 2020, when I sold a Django-based B2B parking management SaaS. For this product, I took a system from conception to production on my own, including doing the enterprise sales work.

I landed Cummings Properties and National Cathedral School as customers.

Today, both organizations are still customers under the new ownership, despite a largely unchanged feature set.

This speaks to the technical quality and stability of the system I built. It demonstrates the sustained value my product over three years since I personally onboarded these customers.

--

I'm especially capable working with people. I've hired to fulfill resources on projects of my own and those I've taken on for companies including Intel and Verizon.

I've also contributed to hiring in the interview process and by successfully recruiting talent away from competitive organizations. I enjoy working with junior developers and mentoring.

I'm friendly, compassionate and hold both a BS in Computer Engineering and an MBA. I enjoy the technical product design process and cross-functional collaboration. I place high emphasis on the quality of internal and external documentation.

All Companies: Please have a publicly posted job description before reaching out. YC Companies: Please feel free to reach out using my profile in the Join a Startup system.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Update: I've been hired, and am no longer available.
