Rescale | San Francisco | SF & REMOTE | https://jobs.lever.co/rescale Rescale offers a software platform and hardware infrastructure for companies to perform scientific and engineering simulation. (We're an HPC/Supercomputing Cloud Platform) We are a Y Combinator startup with top investors: Jeff Bezos, Sam Altman, Paul Graham, Peter Thiel, & a bunch of others. I think we're now #39 on the Top YC list. We have about 170 employees scattered around the world, with about 30 software developers. The company still feels small and everyone is pretty tight. Work atmosphere is fun & friendly. We just closed Series C so we are in a very strong position to ride out whatever plays out in the economy & are probably a bit more insulated than most companies. We are growing very rapidly--all departments are hiring. It's exciting, a lot of opportunity, interesting technical problems to solve, definitely a good time to join. Devs that come in now will have the opportunity to have a big impact on the future of our company, our code & our culture.

We're currently looking for: Senior Backend Engineers, Full Stack, Data Engineers, & Software Engineers,

balena.io | Simulation & Modeling Engineer, Lead Security Engineer, Open Call | Full-Time | REMOTE | https://balena.io

Balena is laser-focused on a single goal: to enable developers to succeed on the new frontier of Edge/IoT computing in building fleets of devices that work as reliably as servers in a datacenter. In the process of creating this bridge, we've had to build many and varying tools and services, from cloud services (balenaCloud) to desktop utilities (balenaEtcher), to operating systems (balenaOS), single-board computers (balenaFin), and more.

Right now, we're particularly interested in Simulation & Modeling. We strongly believe that state-of-the-art business modeling is a long way behind where it could be. A business is a system rather than a machine, nonlinear, turbulent, and dynamic in a way that cannot be expressed using traditional methods. However, the tech and mental toolkits that could allow us to capture such complexity in a model and show us where a business’ levers are and what drives its growth exist. If you’d like to help us build this model, let us know by applying here: https://apply.workable.com/balena/j/A13B328FC6/

We’re also looking for a Lead Security Engineer to guide our ongoing efforts to create a solid foundation for secure-by-default products, infrastructure, and operations. For us, security is a team effort, and we are looking for someone as passionate as we are about fostering a culture of shared responsibility for security to help us scale sustainably. If that sounds like a role you might be interested in, let us know by applying here: https://apply.workable.com/balena/j/01A0106413/

Finally, we have an Open Call (https://apply.workable.com/balena/j/2A9DEA16E5/) in case none of the above positions fit, but you are interested in leveraging your skills to help us unlock the power of physical computing.
