VMware | Application Platform Architect | Tokyo, JPN; Bangalore, IND; Melbourne, AUS; Singapore, SGP; Hong Kong, HKG; Brisbane, AUS; Sydney, AUS; Seoul, KOR | Full-Time | Onsite

My team currently has an open position and I would like to share it with the HN crowd! We’re a small group of technology enthusiasts who work quite closely together. The role is located within the VMware pre-sales field organisation and provides technical leadership for all things App Platform related. As a little bit of context, we do quite a lot of work with the CNCF ecosystem and contribute to Open Source Software communities. The role is officially non-remote but with the team being geo-dispersed and covid limiting in-person contact, all members are currently working from home. For more information, please find the link below or just email me: mcafeej@$COMPANY.com. Would love to hear from you!

Learn In | Senior Frontend/Backend Software Engineers | Full-time | US Remote Learn In helps companies establish education benefits and talent academies so every employee can build deeper skills precisely aligned to company needs. HR, Talent and L&D leaders use Learn In to modernize access to learning budgets and world-class programs, and to simplify the delivery of custom programs to employee groups.

We're hiring experienced engineers to help build out our web applicaiton. We have a React/Typescript frontend with a C#/.NET core backend. You don't need to know these technologies (I was new to the .NET world and have been pleasantly surprised) but need to have the technical knowledge and independence of a senior software engineer.

Our founding team previously founded a unicorn in the edTech space called Degreed so it's an excellent opportunity to learn startup best practices from an experienced team. We have a low meeting culture that prioritizes flexibility.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital | Multiple Positions | Memphis, TN | ONSITE or REMOTE | https://www.stjude.cloud/ The St. Jude Cloud ( https://stjude.cloud ) project is hiring multiple different positions and technical backgrounds. We work on the forefront of computational genomics by applying advanced computational techniques to analyzing genomics data then sharing that data with the world. Come join the world…

I would just like to put in my $0.02 on this one. I worked for St. Jude in the past, and it is one of the most delightful workplaces I have had the opportunity to be a part of. It is a shockingly positive environment given the nature of their mission. People there joke that it’s “the last place you ever work.” People on HN talk about feeling soul-sucked by work… well, if you want to know that what you’re doing matter…

Just a heads up to employers, if you are hiring remote workers and those workers might live in the US state of Colorado, you are required to list a salary with the job posting under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act: https://www.fisherphillips.com/news-insights/top-12-things-e...

Oh I wondered why I would often see a defined salary listed for employees based in Colorado.
