Level 12 | Full Stack Web Developer - Python, React/Vue, SQL | Mid-Level & Senior | REMOTE | SALARY:$95K-145K | https://www.level12.io/careers/

Level 12 is a software consulting and custom development agency. We have mid and senior level positions. Our job descriptions are written by developers for developers. No HR fluff here, we want you to know what you are really getting into:

https://www.level12.io/careers/

- We have a commitment to transparency and offer a "no surprises experience" throughout the interview and hiring process. We value candor...as evidenced by the length of our job description. :)

- Our CEO prefers the title CED, Chief Executive Developer. Engineering and operational concerns don't take a back seat when potential sales come to the front door.

- You will be working remote with a team that is all working remote and has been for years. Let's make the best use of our time by not commuting.

- We practice and preach sound development practices. You are likely to learn and grow as a developer while working here.

- You are committed to automated testing of all the software you write (our apps typically have 92%+ test coverage).

- We have a no-drama office policy. We value and cultivate enjoyable working relationships among team members. No jerks allowed!

- We emphasize work/life balance and adopt policies that make sure our people don't get burnt out. For instance, our PTO/Vacation policies are designed so that you actually use them.

- If you apply, we guarantee that we will give you a response, whether "yay" or "nay". No black holes here!

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital | Multiple Positions | Memphis, TN | ONSITE or REMOTE | https://www.stjude.cloud/ The St. Jude Cloud ( https://stjude.cloud ) project is hiring multiple different positions and technical backgrounds. We work on the forefront of computational genomics by applying advanced computational techniques to analyzing genomics data then sharing that data with the world. Come join the world…

I would just like to put in my $0.02 on this one. I worked for St. Jude in the past, and it is one of the most delightful workplaces I have had the opportunity to be a part of. It is a shockingly positive environment given the nature of their mission. People there joke that it’s “the last place you ever work.” People on HN talk about feeling soul-sucked by work… well, if you want to know that what you’re doing matter…

Latacora | Secops Engineering Manager, Security Architect | Remote | Full-Time

Why do security at a startup when you can come do security for all the startups? :-)

Secops Engineering Manager role:

Full details including the hiring process here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vS96rfuiTKFIo2Y0...

The SecOps team is responsible for protecting customers’ infrastructure. It builds systems that give us insights into Cloud environments, external network attack surface, platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), and the deployment systems that connect these to the rest of our clients’ development lifecycles. It’s a combination of software engineering, provisioning, orchestration, automation, and analytics.

The Engineering Manager will work on managing the day to day of delivery for the SecOps team as well as work on the long-term vision to expand the team’s capabilities. In addition to delivery-focused security engineers, this team has embedded software engineers dedicated to improving the processes and tools.

This position is remote, but we do think you need to work US timezones to be successful. We can, however, hire internationally, so Canadian, Mexican... applicants are all welcome :-)

Security Architect role:

I know the title can be intimidating, but “security architect” but we take it’s a very broad definition here; “security generalist” might be a better summary. We get to work with the all the “weird” questions from our clients, the things that fall between or cut across our more established practice areas.

100% remote (US-ish time zones though), tons of autonomy and flexibility to define the role in a way that fits you. And our clients are really cool, you’ll get to see some neat things.
