Hi HN folks, I'm currently working as a 7 YoE freelance senior DevOps engineer. I have a full-stack dev background and am now working as a DevOps or DevSecOps. My most recent missions were around platform engineering and CI/CD (turn a 2-week release process into a 40 minutes complex pipeline).

I am looking for my next challenge as I am about to finish my current CI/CD mission. I'm open to EU and US companies (worked async with a US scale-up for 4 years) and looking for a backend engineer, DevOps or DevSecOps position/mission.

Note: my k8s skills are rusty (only used it part time since 2019), if k8s is a must-have for you I am open to derusting it.

Location: Europe (Netherlands, CET) Remote: Yes (preferred) Type: Contract only (freelance / interim)

Role: Senior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer

About me: I’m a hands-on data engineer with strong architecture experience. I help teams design, build, and run modern data platforms, usually when they are moving away from Excel, SAS, or legacy warehouses toward a cloud-native stack.

I’m comfortable owning work end-to-end: from requirements and architecture to production pipelines and stakeholder dashboards.

Skills / Stack: • Cloud data platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP • Warehouses & engines: Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks • ELT & modeling: dbt, SQL, Python • Orchestration & infra: Airflow, Terraform, CI/CD • BI & analytics: Power BI, Looker • Strong focus on scalability, cost control, and data quality

Looking for: Contract roles where I can quickly add value by unblocking data teams, modernising data stacks, or acting as a senior IC / temporary lead.
