Hey HN! I decided to switch career paths recently and am now looking for a first job!

As I originally learned programming for fun, I don't have a lot of public validation of my abilities, so now I'm catching up by making contributions to open source projects and learning languages that are more in-demand so that I am fit for a wider variety of jobs.

With about 2 years of experience in Fintech (an exchange and a marketmaking startup), a contract fullstack job and an internship as a game developer, I can confidently say that I have plenty experience working in high pressure environments and delivering insanely scaleable and performant products, be it a socket server written in C++ or an internal dashboard being used by 100-150 people internally everyday. I'm yet to have an interview where I wasn't hired afterwards. I'm also a fresh grad and 19 years old, looking for a team I can learn from.
