I'm Jeremy, cofounder and CTO of WaySync. We're a venture backed startup building software for freight forwarders. Freight forwarders coordinate and facilitate complex, large shipments from the manufacturer to their end customers. This is a complex process that often involves multiple modes of transportation (rail, trucks, ships, planes) and customs clearance. It's $145B industry in the United States alone that's been historically underserved by software vendors. Along the way, we hope to do our part in alleviating the global supply chain crisis.

I'm looking for experienced, fullstack web app engineers to help us build out an MVP and a strong engineering organization. This could be a great fit if you like being given high level, potentially ambiguous problem statements and building end to end solutions with little oversight but as much collaboration as you want. Also a great fit if you’re interested in doing your own startup one day or growing into a leadership role.

Tech stack is pretty flexible aside from Rails (exp not required). Currently thinking a mixture of Hotwire and React for frontend.

We're a remote first company but you're welcome to join us in person in NYC. We're open to hiring remote from other countries as long as you're in North / South American timezones. We're also open to sponsoring select visas (e.g. TN) if you'd like to come to the US.

Truework is building a platform to make it easy to leverage verified income and employment information to do business on the internet. Our platform enables faster closing of loans and other transactions, increases access to financial products (that are often limited to W-2 employees with good credit), and gives employees visibility and control into how their employment information is shared with others.

We are growing quickly: we currently handle tens of thousands of verifications every month for top US mortgage lenders and are expanding into other fintech and lending verticals as we speak. That said, our team is still small, which means you’ll play big a part in shaping the future of Truework, and your work will have a significant impact and visibility. We are a Django and React (Typescript) shop, and run our infrastructure on AWS.

Thanks for the feedback! I guess to put it in different words, our team is responsible for "infrastructure automation" (which would include both kernel responsibilities yet higher level abstractions too e.g., k8s). This is in contrast to our application development teams at Cboe which would instead focus on writing the logic of the trading systems themselves (e.g., matching engines, code to interface with orders and other exchanges, etc.). We’re building a data analytics tool that combines Git-like collaboration with the best parts of data and productivity software to provide fast-paced teams with trusted answers.
