I am a seasoned (>10 years experience) full-stack principal software engineer and software manager specializing in the backend, platform engineering, internal tools, and data engineering. In the past, I've led teams of up to 12, managed interview pipelines, pioneered a number of no- and low-code solutions for stream processing, data model and query generation, form building, workflow systems, and front-end construction for a variety of industries, including those with strong regulatory requirements and complex business rules such as healthcare and fintech.

More recently, I've built a workflow engine for coordinating LLMs and other generative AI processes, and on top of this a platform for minimizing hallucinations and working with documents that are too large for existing context windows.

If any of the above seems like a match for you and your organization or project, don't hesitate to reach out.

Over the past 25 years, I've traversed through every stage of the software development lifecycle. Eventually, I gravitated towards QA, where I could leverage various perspectives. While nudged towards people management, I discovered my true vocation.

I'm a mid-senior level software engineer with an unusual and impressive background. I am highly proficient in Ruby, Rails, TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js, SQL, React, C#/.NET, and many other technologies. I thrive most when solving interesting problems relating to the infrastructure of the company. By that, I mean the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes it work--internal ledgers and other systems, encryption, just the services that do their thing to make the business run smoothly. I'm also very happy working on product work, working as a fullstack engineer for most of my career.

I would invite you to give me a call and read my resume. You'll notice I have 4 years of experience, but what I have managed to do with that experience has been exceptional. Looking for pay in the range of $150k-$180k, but will consider other pay for the right team.
