Is that Remote US or Remote Global?

We require at least 3 hours overlap with GMT-5.

Also, keep in mind the bar is absolutely higher for remote candidates: it's primarily an option for people who have been doing it for years, not who started during the pandemic.

If it's not government hiring how is it legal to require citizenship?

For the same reason they can require you to have a Driver's License, be able to carry 50+lbs, live in the borders of Maryland, etc, etc. Having the right to work in the US doesn't entitle you to a job. And there are plenty of reasons government institutions would want to disallow non-nationals a position. The whole point of citizenship is, after all, buying into the system; if you're not "in" your allegiances or pote…

Just to give some additional information but there are many government jobs or government contracting jobs where you can be a dual citizen, including I believe this one.

Why Spring Boot 2 specifically? AFAIK community support for it has ended and you should be moving to SB3 if possible

The eternal update game does not always reward you.

F.ex. Maven and Gradle and not necessarily better than Ant.

Older things are often stabler unless they are over-engineered.

Spring Boot is however completely meaningless in the first place.
