Hi HN — I’m Nicole, cofounder of Gambit Robotics (with Eliot Horowitz, cofounder/CTO of MongoDB).

We’re hiring a Founding Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join us in our NYC office.

Gambit is building an AI kitchen assistant that mounts under a range hood and uses computer vision and thermal sensing to understand what’s happening in a pan and guide cooking in real time.

We’re looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning systems end-to-end and working across backend, product, and infrastructure in a small team. You’ll be working directly with the founders building software that interacts with sensors, hardware, and AI models in real kitchens.

Shorebird | Mid/Senior Software Engineer (Cloud) | REMOTE (North America) | Full-time | $150-220k + equity + benefits | https://shorebird.dev

Flutter is used by millions of devs (and nearly ⅓ of free apps submitted to AppStore), but is missing services for businesses. I built Flutter at Google. Now we’ve built a company selling services to 1000s of Flutter-using businesses globally, on track to profitability this year.

We serve 100s of millions of devices from our cloud, (2k+ RPS sustained), built mostly in Dart on Google Cloud + CloudFlare. We’re in the process of launching a series of CI offerings and have a lot of cloud development work ahead of us. You need production cloud experience, want to work at a startup, and be up for the challenge of owning, developing, and expanding Shorebird’s cloud infrastructure and backend services including code, configuration, architecture, and more. Previous Dart experience is not required.

We’re a small, senior team, making something people want. Tech: GCP, Cloudflare, Dart, Postgres, a little React & Node. Shorebird operates almost entirely in the public over Discord. https://discord.gg/shorebird

QuoIntelligence | Senior Data Engineer | Remote - Spain/Italy | Full time

QuoIntelligence is a European cybersecurity threat intelligence company (~40 people, Series A, remote from Spain/Italy/German). We collect over 90% of our intelligence data in-house. No bulk feeds from Recorded Future or CrowdStrike. Custom pipelines scrape underground forums and ingest technical threat feeds, all built internally. The data engineering here produces the intelligence directly.

We are looking for someone to maintain and evolve the data infrastructure (built from scratch on DigitalOcean, no managed services, no IaC) while leading the migration to AWS and beyond.

Team is small and you'd be one of two data engineers, collaborating directly with Threat Intelligence Engineers on data access patterns and source integration.

Why not just move to NA/Europe? Chinese engineers are a security risk

It’s not easy, but if Chinese devs can be hired as remote engineers, they can apply for digital nomad visas in Europe after 3 months.

Not gonna lie, that would be a dream, and that's coming from an American.
