Marketing blurb aside, I'll add that some companies sprinkle on "machine learning" and "artificial intelligence" for marketing or to raise capital. In our case, statistical machine learning is the core of our business. We're a function: receive data, return predictions.

About REMOTE, I think we're trying to stay in US timezones.

Ok you win job posting of the year award.

Plus the job is really cool ... I'm tempted to apply even though it's way below my normal rate simply because I can see it being as fun as working as a FIRST mentor.

Welcome | Software & Data Engineers | 100% permanent remote forever, open to all US-based engineers --> http://heywelcome.com/

----------------------------- We're trying to make salary, equity and the total compensation an open topic. Our goal is to transform the way that business extend offers to candidates and information that candidates can use to compare offers. Our goal is to make the offer and compensation negotiation experience 100x better for engineers looking for jobs as well as the folks that hire them.

We're going to be ingesting a massive amount of compensation data to build our total-compensation/rewards engine. There are tons of super interesting problems around how to ingest, sanitize, normalize and present comp/equity data in a way that allows candidates the best possible understanding of their salary and equity.

Join us if you are passionate about pay equity, transparency, and generally making the process of applying for jobs and working with candidates an overall more humane, fair, and equitable experience.

Sorry to be a party pooper but please don't do the ASCII art thing in Who Is Hiring threads. It leads to a visual gimmick arms race and isn't fair to the other posters. The text part of your post is just fine, and nicely done.

Edit: this is what I mean by arms race: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25638025

Please don't use visual gimmicks like ASCII art in your job posts here. It's fun stuff but it's unfair to all the other posters who don't do it, and inevitably it leads to an arms race as people compete for attention. Let's just all stick to text please.
