At Volcore, we model the electricity system to do proprietary trading that helps balance the grid and facilitate renewables integration. Our technical roles are a blend of Software Engineering and Data Science, wherein we solve problems end-to-end, from data ingestion and analysis to optimisation and deployment. Often these require novel solutions, drawing on original research and experimentation. We are a profitable and ambitious startup looking for Software Engineers who can both crack these kinds of problems and continually improve our shared libraries, tooling and workflows to ensure they are fast, accurate and a delight to work with.

Our team are close-knit, with minimal hierarchy. We work together in-office to whiteboard solutions together and everything we build is used by people sitting next to us.

Every team member owns important projects very early on, and if you can deliver value in a particular area, you’ll be recognised and rewarded for it, regardless of job title.

Our tech stack includes Python, backend Typescript, Postgres and, increasingly, Rust, although the latter is not a Day-1 requirement.

Hi! I'm Shrey Sharma, a pre-final year undergraduate student with a strong focus on AI/ML and systems engineering. I'm very interested in exploring an internship opportunity at Waymo.

I've worked on projects involving model fine-tuning, RAG agents, and AI deployment on platforms like Hugging Face, and I’m currently diving deeper into systems-level programming and multi object tracker for autonomous vehicles.

IVPN is a privacy-focused consumer VPN service in operation since 2010. We have high ethical standards, regular security audits and a stellar reputation among security and privacy analysts. This year we are launching multiple new services to complement our VPN offering.

We are looking for a System and Network Administrator with the following responsibilities:

- maintaining and ensuring the high availability of our network of hundreds of servers, including VPN gateways

- interfacing with ISP's to resolve upstream network issues

- provide tier 2 and 3 support to our customer support team for issues relating to infrastructure

- consolidating infrastructure, unifying monitoring and aligning operational practices across the business.

The position is fully remote with high level of autonomy: maximum freedom, minimum meetings.

What we expect:

- 5+ years experience managing Linux servers including bare-metal.

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, SSL/TLS and other related Internet protocols

- Experience working with a configuration management tool e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Salt.

- 5+ years experience with Python, Go or other scripting languages

- Interest in infosec, specifically with regards to public key cryptography, firewalls and Linux server hardening.
