I started frontend development when I wanted to dig deeper into this field and understand it better. Soon, I really started enjoying it.
Creating something from scratch or using different components to build something new, adding styles, using different CSS tricks, and thinking about how to position elements to get the right look and feel—that's what keeps me hooked. I like easy-to-read code, almost like reading an English book.
I enjoy the challenges that come my way, breaking them down into smaller pieces to better analyze and find solutions. As a frontend developer, I also value close collaboration with team members, sharing and extending ideas to reach a good outcome.
I got into test automation too. I felt like a sponge, soaking up more information. I enjoy turning repetitive tasks into one-time test cases that just need maintenance. It’s a nice addition to development.
I like structuring my documentation well, so at a glance you can find the parts you need without having to read through the whole thing.
I’m always excited to learn new things and take on new challenges. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect or collaborate!

#424Professionally, I've mainly been writing React in my last few position, but I am very well versed in designing backends as well.
Non-professionally, I have been writing deep dives into tech I work with on my blog: https://www.bbss.dev/posts/react-learn-suspense/ (sample post)

For the most part, my résumé only has my professional experience on it. To see more of what I've done, please visit my work summary at https://www.amecy.com/work/ . In particular, if you play chess, check out my chess training site at https://www.checkmatechamp.net/ . That site runs on the Google Cloud Platform and uses Python on the backend. The frontend is a mix of vanilla JS and OCaml (using js_of_ocaml).
My experience at startups has helped me learn how to build systems, and how to keep them running, simply and with minimal resources. (For example, as of this writing, Checkmate Champ has been running for 845 days without my intervention.)
I have learned a lot of languages over the years that I never got the chance to use in a professional setting, including Lisp, OCaml, Haskell, and Smalltalk. If you are using one of these, I would love to hear about it.
