Hello! I’m a passionate full-stack engineer currently exploring new opportunities. I have a strong background in developing high-performance, data-driven applications and experience working in sectors like fintech and enterprise tech, though I’m excited to bring my skills to any industry. I have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and backend engineers, to deliver efficient and scalable solutions. I particularly enjoy building robust data pipelines and creating streamlined, intuitive UIs.

Earlier quoted context omitted.

Heads up – your CV breaks up in a really weird way in Firefox: https://u.ale.sh/blake-burch-ff.png Probably a bug in pdf.js, but this is the first time I’ve seen render errors like this. (Also a sign that the layout might be too complex, which isn’t good for ATS systems!)

Thanks for bringing that to my attention! The issue should be resolved. That's what I get for being determined to design my own resume in Figma. I have a text only version as well, but I hate the idea of not having something crafted.

Yeah, I’ve heard Figma does weird stuff to PDF exports. Looks good to me now!

I'm currently employed in a US based company as a Senior Software Engineer. My main expertise is Backend development. Nonetheless the product I work on has deep relations with the data ecosystem and machine learning and the current LLM hype. I'm therefore quite familiar with pandas, arrow and the whole Python data ecosystem (you name it). All of our deployments are handled in K8s (managed by AWS) and our architecture depends quite heavily on AWS therefore I have deep knowledge on some of its services: SQS, SNS, RDS to name a few.

I consider myself a Python specialist having 8+ years of experience with the language and all the quirks around it. I'm open to full time positions as well as part-time ones. I'm open to learn a new language as well.

Ex-Automattic Senior Software Engineer:

As a Senior Software Engineer, I possess extensive expertise across the full software development lifecycle, with a strong focus on front-end technologies like React, Redux, and TypeScript. At Automattic, I significantly expanded my scope beyond front-end development; I spearheaded DevOps initiatives, managed continuous integration processes using GitHub Actions, and contributed to backend development with PHP. My role involved optimizing workflows through automation and enhancing product scalability and maintainability.

Recognized for my problem-solving capabilities and technical versatility, I excel in adapting new technologies to address complex challenges. My career reflects a robust ability to lead projects, triage issues, and innovate across both front-end and backend development, making me a valuable asset in any software engineering team.

I'm Hung, a software engineer with 5 years of experience from Vietnam. I have worked in different types of environments: from small, start-up-like, to medium-sized (~100-200 engineers), to big-corporation (~2000 engineers). As a result, I have both the practicality and adaptivity of a start-up developer, and the awareness of scale, reliability and process of a software engineer.

I read extensively and learn systematically, not only software engineering but also a wide range of other subjects. (I think) I'm up for any challenge. I'm ambitious, I'm confident in myself. But I'm also humble enough to learn quickly from my mistake, and to work well with others.

I value environment with autonomy and lean process. I would love to have control over the infrastructure so that I can learn more about cloud and devops (coz my previous companies all have dedicated infra team).
