Strong AI Engineer/Consultant/Leader with a fifteen year demonstrated track record in both big companies and start-ups. My ideal role is putting together an AI Strategy, AI Roadmap and then building an organization to execute against that roadmap. I am also open to interesting and challenging IC work in AI. I am generally looking for Principal Engineer or Director level roles. I am open to consulting or full time.

I am a data engineer / full stack dev / bioinformatician, with a number of turns in my career so far. After graduating from a prestigious university and landing a high earning job in 2014, I left it in 2016 for a role in a research institute, and then worked in life sciences and did contract work on the side, until in 2022 AI became big and I joined a healthcare start-up. The start-up was a fine gamble but did not really work out so since April this year I'm temporarily hacking on a non-commercial project on the side to being a dad, and looking for more opportunities to do worthwhile work.

I am good at turning prototypes into products, and orienting myself in novel domains.

Over the years I was able to do plenty of meaningful work, in academic, commercial, and non-profit contexts, and I would quite like to continue. If my profile - the CV or one of the technologies listed - is a match for you, do send me an email!

Hey! I'm Cameron. I'd like to help you solve your problems, well, the ones that can be solved with code anyway ;). You can check out my most recent open-source contribution to get an idea of my experience and capabilities: Willow, an open-source framework for creating change data capture pipelines. You can find it here: https://willow-cdc.github.io/. I'm looking forward to connecting with you!

We've moved it thither. Thanks for watching out for a fellow user!
