OpenSanctions | https://opensanctions.org | Data / Integration Engineer | REMOTE (Europe, Berlin) | Full-time

OpenSanctions helps to keep people and companies accountable for their political and economic actions. We build a database that tracks a wide range of entities in the public interest: sanctioned companies, politicians, fraudsters and criminals. Originally built to support anti-corruption journalists, OpenSanctions has also become a powerful tool used for customer screening, legal compliance and in-depth investigative analysis.

We take pride in providing a high quality dataset to the public and to our subscribers. Based on an open source data pipeline and providing public search for everybody, we bring transparency and a (relative) lack of bullshit to the compliance/sanctions world.

You will build and maintain a data pipeline that consolidates information from public sources into a high-quality dataset; improve our techniques for record linkage, tracking changes and data lineage; think up and implement advanced data quality assurance mechanisms and build additional crawlers for relevant data sources.

You will work with customers to help them adopt our product for their use cases and answer technical questions about the product.

Blackbird Studios | Sr Developers and Design-gineer | Remote in Americas or Western Europe | Contract to hire Blackbird is a software dev studio specialized in a Human Centered approach to launching totally new, high-impact software products for a wide variety of public and private sector clients, from early stage startups to Fortune 50 companies. We don’t do marketing sites! We build complex, cool, interactive fulls…

The design-gineer role: would you consider someone who started their career in design, works closely with designers, but has been predominately a full-stack developer for a decade?

I wouldn’t refer to myself as a designer today, but it’s in my roots, interests, and I still love to be involved in it. I’ve built a few basic visual simulators and editors, and it’s kind of my happy place; right between the heavy lifting of abstracting complex logic and the art and science making it look, perform, and feel great. If that’s anything like what the role entails, I’d love to chat.

FullStory | Staff Software Engineer, Mobile Enablement | Atlanta, GA or REMOTE from USA or Canada

FullStory is an analytics and session replay tool that is used by PM's, Support, and Engineering teams to help their customers and improve their web and mobile apps. Our web session replays look nearly like screen recordings, except with private data redacted in the browser. On mobile, we use Private-by-Default, so it looks a bit more like a wireframe until various parts of the app are marked as safe to capture.

We’re looking for someone who’s probably a little more backend-heavy, with some mobile or mobile-adjacent experience, to help our mobile capture work seamlessly with everything else at FullStory. (The company was built around web and rolled out mobile more recently, so there are still some features such as heatmaps that need additional work to support mobile.)

Our backend is primarily written in Go (golang), although there is also a bit of Rust code. You might also work with TypeScript for our web interface, and Java/Objective-C for Android and iOS.

Great benefits: healthcare, 401k matching, equity, self-directed PTO (I tend to take about 5-6 weeks of vacation a year), good pay (not sure what the range is for this role, but I make $205k base with about 18 YoE), and a really great remote working experience. (Some of this is US-specific, but we take good care of our Canadians also. I think your title might be “Developer” rather than “Engineer”.)

Apply at https://www.fullstory.com/careers/jobs/56457178-344f-47c7-98...

Feel free to contact me here or nathan@[company site] if you have any questions.
