SEEKING WORK | Charlotte NC, USA | Remote Only

FullStack freelancer with lots of startup experience and founder experience too. Because of that I have a great feel for product and building delightful experiences compared to most Engineers.

I also really focus on simplicity and strive to deeply understand the goal at hand, then solve it in the simplest way possible (which often works out best for all parties involved)

I might have availability starting in August for an ~3month contract.

Tech: Rails (Over a decade's experience), React, node.js, JS, and much more.

SEEKING FREELANCER | Remote | BlueCode Systems

I lead a software development team made up of NOT very experienced software developers that I want trained on some very specific topics.

- The trainings will be over Google Meet/Zoom and recorded so we can reuse them.

- Lessons will be over a number of hours say 5-10 hours each and delivered over a couple of days.

- Of course we can find similar content online, but we want lessons specific to what work we are doing and using examples from our codebases and using challenges we are facing.

- Lessons will be very interactive and expect questions.

Topics

Superset - setup, configuration and definition of graphs including some lesson on queries.

Git and GitHub - Day to day use, advanced usage and how to unscrew oneself. Suggest other topics.

Debugging - Especially around Java/Android. Tools and methods

Budget Our total budget is about $5000 and can be broken up across different trainers if needed.

To apply: Send resume and some example/proof of why you are the best fit for the particular training topic. We need deeply experienced people, not someone who will just Google things.

Application email: jobs@bluecodeltd.com with title: "Training"

SEEKING WORK | Los Angeles | Remote

I'm an expert engineer and data professional interested in consulting and architecting data pipelines. At Edmunds.com, I worked on a fairly successful ad-tech product and my team bootstrapped a data pipeline using Spark, Databricks, and microservices built with Java, Python, and Scala.

These days, I consult for a "new media" company you probably heard of and, over the past year, I re-built an ETL Kubernetes stack, including data loaders and extractors that handle >10,000 API payload extractions daily. More recently, I helped migrate said stack to Google serverless cloud functions.

My area of expertise includes data interoperability with Facebook Marketing, Facebook Graph, Instagram Graph, Google DFP, Salesforce, etc. That I'm a top-tier developer goes without saying. I'm interested in getting new clients and can help with best practices, architecture, and hiring.

Would love to connect even if it's just for networking!

SEEKING WORK | Boise, ID | Remote or Local

Web developer with 14 years of professional experience (and a decade of hobbyist experience before that). Sorry, I don't know much about this week's trendy frameworks and languages, but I do know how to build and maintain/rescue sites with the following proven technologies:

- PHP: Drupal, CodeIgniter, WordPress, frameworkless

- MariaDB/MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite

- Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat/CentOS), BSD (OpenBSD, FreeBSD)

- Client-side JavaScript: jQuery, frameworkless

Initial consultations are always free and my rates are affordable given my level of experience. Check out my web site for more about me and some of the things I've worked on and how to get in touch: https://albright.pro/

No "for exposure/future opportunities/share of potential profit" queries, please. Thanks!

SEEKING WORK | Ottawa, Ontario | REMOTE

Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nicholasbsavage/

I am a CPA with a day job in external audit. I'm looking for either advisory or consulting work either in accounting, bookkeeping or finance. I know that the accounting side of startups usually falls by the wayside as the product feels more important, so I'm here to help. I could also be a good resource if you have any particular financial reporting or tax questions that may require research. I am code as a hobby and am working on my own finance software so I have some expertise in coding too. If you need a bookkeeper for instance, or have specific requirements with generating reports out of your accounting software, I have expertise in that area as well.

If you're interested in someone with skills that intersect between finance and programming, please contact me at nick at nicksavage.ca.
