SEEKING WORK

Location: US (Mountain Time)

Remote with travel for meetings as needed post-Covid

I'm a data scientist who specializes in helping companies design and implement a data science strategy prior to making a first data science hire. At most top-tier startups, the management team recognizes the need to build a data science organization. But getting started on that process is difficult, and far too many startups watch their first data science hire fail to deliver results.

Success follows from articulating the objectives and needs of the data science team, and that’s where I can help. By developing goals, ensuring data infrastructure is in place, and identifying needed skills, we can set your first hire up for success and avoid costly mistakes like hiring a deep learning engineer when what you really need is someone to make dashboards.

Although I deliver the most value when helping organizations develop strategies, I’m also available for other projects up to 10hrs/week.

Technologies:

Data science: Python, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Numpy, PySpark, Jupyter notebooks, Matplotlib, Seaborn Data engineering: AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda), PostgreSQL, Docker, Airflow

Previous Experience: BCG, Google (Software Engineer), 3x Startups
