I am a software engineer with over 11 years of experience in backend development deploying to Linux environments, both in the cloud and on bare metal. I specialize in Python for data validation, enrichment, and UI/UX design for desktop applications, and I have built web solutions using Flask and Streamlit. While I have some familiarity with React and Angular, I typically rely on prebuilt templates for these frameworks. My CI/CD workflow experience includes Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub

Time zone is usually not a problem, I've worked with clients from several states from the USA, Europe (Austria, Germany, Spain), and even Australia.

I'm open to full time or half-time opportunities.

I've been doing web dev for the past 20 years of my life. The past couple of years I worked with the PELT stack (Phoenix, Elixir, LiveView, and Tailwind CSS).

Lately I've been getting my hands into machine learning and LLMs using the Elixir ecosystem.

I'd love an opportunity doing AI engineering stuff. Hit me up and let's talk!

I am a senior full-stack developer with over 5 years of experience building web applications for the United States weather service (NOAA, NWS, OHD, NOMADS, etc.), Minnesota schools, and non-profit organizations. I started out as a gamer who wondered how games like RuneScape worked under the hood. I started playing around with Java and ActionScript and found my way to love JavaScript and its many frameworks. I made some games, music, and websites and here I am today.

In my professional experience, I started out designing/building front-end apps and grew to love the back-end & cloud as well (it is so nice to write database/API/CMS helper binaries quickly in Go, Python, or C++!). My most involved project was working across the stack on a hole-in-one application for the weather service that consolidates a bunch of old applications. I am flexible and love learning new technology & procedures. My previous work comrades always described me as high-spirited, excited, and always amped to take on new tasks (although I must be honest - moving those 10,000+ vanilla JS files was a bit cumbersome).

All in all, I am very excited to jump into something new. I am actively looking for remote full-time or contract work. In the meantime, I am cranking on my personal projects, such as Stone King API & Magic: The Gather Assistant v2 (and a new, secret project similar to what Hans Zimmer uses as a touch pad for extending his DAW shortcuts).
