Not a "Wants to be Hired", just did a quick technology survey of the responses out of curiosity at what's being listed down to the top 30 mentions for skill alignment purposes and areas where there are probably many resumes. Compared: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39217310 Who's Hiring Feb 2024 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39217308 Who Wants to be Hired Feb 2024. Mentions of Item in (Technologies:) | M…

Using percents rather than absolute figures would make the comparison much easier. Great work though, this is basically skill gaps and “arbitrage” opportunities!

Couple issues. 1) The figures are only mentions in a relatively limited comparison mode, so a percent is only "vaguely" valid. 2) The percent implies "sidedness," yet I really was looking at this from both lists, where the ratio's important no matter which side you're on. Need workers, skill alignment in resumes you get is an issue. Need a job, skill alignment in the people asking's an issue.

I'll throw my application out there: I'm a Product Designer with a lot of experience in both UX and UI (8 years and counting). I have also been developing (FE web) for the past years and I'm looking to switch over.

Currently, I'm looking for a job where I can do both Design + Development (sometimes referred to as Product- or Design Engineer). I love making software and design interfaces e2e, and I believe that's how the best software is made.

Feel free to contact me if you have a position that might fit my description!

Location: Berlin / Germany

Willing to relocate: I don't think so unless there's a very tempting job/offer - I'm available to travel to the office location from time to time if required.

I'm a 4th year Computing and Information Technology student at RIT, looking for a summer job / internship before I head in to my final semester. Ideally looking to explore DevOps as I've had a ton of fun running containers at home for the past 5 years, and I'm currently taking RIT's first ever DevOps course. I am also open to build on my prior experiences in systems administration, or try web development which I've been highly successful with at school.

Hi! I'm currently working in R&D for a big 3 automotive company as a contractor. I was mostly doing a lot of development work with the embedded team for the past year and a half. I'm looking for a machine learning or data engineering role, something less low level. I like learning and look for roles where I can absorb as much as possible or can surround myself with knowledgeable folks willing to mentor me.

Best of luck to everyone else and thanks!!
